2000 Chevrolet Blazer Description

This is a 2000 Chevy Blazer ZR2. First the bad stuff. Most importantly this has been totaled by the insurance company and has a salvage certificate. It is rebuildable. The damage is cosmetic. After the accident I drove this home 500 miles towing 2 Harleys in a trailer. It drove fine. It will need a hood, bumper, plastic air dam, grill, and passenger side headlight and turn signal assembly. The passenger side fender could be fixed or replaced. The truck will need lower front quarter panels patched. It also has a large rust bubble in the paint under the passenger side quarter window, and needs some attention to the rear quarter where the spare tire carrier attaches. I have tried to show all this in the pictures. Also the driver side door lock does not work, and the CD player in the radio also does not function. Radio illumination also does not work properly. Of course it will need paint.
Now the good stuff for those still reading. I have done a tremendous amount of work on this Blazer over the past few years. The brake rotors and pads, ball joints, wheel hubs, idler arm all have been replaced within the last 3000 miles. Also the front axle half shafts and seals. The front tires are brand new and the rears are still at 75%. They are Goodyear Wranglers. The spare tire is an off brand and brand new. The truck was aligned 1000 miles ago. The rear brake calipers and 90% of the brake lines (both the steel and rubber lines) have been replaced and within that same 1000 miles. Also about 1500 miles ago I had the transmission completely rebuilt and the transfer case gone thru. The transmission rebuild included all new steels and frictions, seals, bushings, an upgraded drum, sprag, shift kit, new shift solenoids, new internal wiring harness, new Corvette accumulator pistons (both of them) and a brand new torque convertor. The engine blew up 1000 miles ago, so I found one out of a wrecked Blazer with only 61,000 miles on it. I tore it down to check it all out. The Cylinders, pistons, and bearings all looked great. I gave it new head and intake gaskets, cleaned the water passages between the block and heads, new head bolts, and put it in with as many if the low milage components as possible. It has new MAF sensor, new knock sensor, 3 new O2 sensors, brand new starte, brand new air conditioning compressor, new AC lines, evaporator core, and condensors, new thermostat, new radiator hoses (I modified the lower and added a spring to prevent it being sucked shut), and new cooling line fittings on the radiator. It has an auxillary transmission cooler, and the stock power steering cooler is rusted and has been bypassed. I just never got around to putting a new one on it. The truck also has a brand new complete exhaustexhaust, from manifolds to tail pipe, with a Thrush welded muffler. It's sounds good for a V6. The batter is 2 years old.
The trucks interior needs some cleaning but is in pretty nice shape. The carpet will clean up but the floor mats are rough. The sunroof operates but does not leak. There are some scratches in the plastic panels in the rear hatch area. Headliner is in decent shape. Truck has factory towing setup and towns pretty well for its size.
One word about the air conditioning system. It is working, but the new evaporator core we installed has a blockage in it. We narrowed down the AC issue to it. It will cool the interior down now when going down the highway, but not in town, and it doesn't get cold enough. I was going to replace it when I pulled the fender to fix it.
This truck is a great runner and driver, just needs more attention than I can give it right now.
Now for this stuff. It is the bidders responsibility to make sure they have read and understand the condition of this vehicle before bidding on it. Ask any question before bidding. I have done my best to describe it as best as possible and will hold bidders to their bid. I leave feedback for positive transactions and report non paying bidders. Payment is due within 3 days of auctions end unless other arraignments are made with me. I will accept PayPal only at the buy it now price, any other price will be cash on pickup. Any other payment method and the truck will not leave untill my bank has cleared the funds. I will consider delivering up to a 500 mile radius for $1.25 a mile if need be, but both the truck and delivery fee will be paid upfront before the truck goes anywhere. If you are local enough, feel free to make arraignments to come see it in person. There is a $500 deposit required within 48hours of auction end.
If the buy it now is used I will throw in some extra parts. I have a full set of new fuel lines, a set of new front wheel hubs, and an add a leaf springs for the rear.
Thanks for looking.
