1997 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 30TH ANNIVERSARY BRICKYARD PACE CAR Description

1997 CAMARO Z/28 BRICKYARD 400 FESTIVAL-PARADE CAR

The 1997 Camaro Z/28 Coupe in Z4C 30th Anniversary trim was selected as the Pace Car for the 1996 Brickyard 400.Two Pace Car coupes were built along with 50 convertibles that were used as Parade Cars and/or Festival Cars.

This rare Brickyard 400 Camaro is one of the 50 convertibles built for the race. It is serial number 52 which may make it the last of the 52 cars built for the race.Others say all Brickyard cars were built during the first 100 cars.I do not have the window sticker but have a GM Inquiry System Report which is like the build sheet. This car was built May 1, 1996 at the Ste Therese Plant. After the race, the car was delivered to General Motors at 7133 11 Mile Road in Warren Michigan on August 26, 1996 for Bill Estes Chevrolet in Indianapolis IN who sold it to the first owner as a used car.Obviously all options are listed on this report. Included in the paperwork is some of the information on prior owners as well as a car fax report.Dealer Brochures included with the paperwork.

I bought this car from the 2nd owner in its original paint, decals and interior.I decided to freshen up the car in 2014.I found a set of decals and correct reproduction seat covers and updated the car.New correct convertible top was also installed. Carpets were not changed. We checked the car mechanically and repaired all items needing attention (transmission service, rear end seal replaced, power window motors replaced and the like).Included are all of the receipts for work done on the car.The car has not been driven much since its completion so the AC may need charged again and the check engine light comes on until the car is driven for a few miles.Needs fresher gas.

These ’97 Brickyard 400 Camaros are some of the lowest production numbers for Pace/Festival cars. This is one of those cars that my wife does not need to see what I sell it for as I won’t get back anything close to what I have in it!!!I have attempted to accurately describe the car, but there may be issues I am unaware of as this is a 20 year old car and it has been stored in my shop.

Reasonable reserve for this low-production, Camaro.Happy to send you the build sheet data. Ask questions.Be sure you have the money and permission to buy the car.The car is sold “as is, where is, without any warranty either express or implied.Clear Title and Bill of Sale cheerfully provided to the winner!!
