1979 Chevrolet Corvette L-82 Automatic Description

NO RESERVE: 1979 Corvette L-82 fully loaded with every option offered for that year and tons of upgrades (see list below for greater detail), in need of absolutely nothing but a new owner.

This car was appraised last year at $29,000 fair market resale value (see pic of certified appraisal), and this is a NO RESERVE auction, so the car will sell to the highest bid at auction end regardless if final bid price is close to appraisal. I will only end the auction if a cash offer is made and accepted and cash is in my hand prior to auction end. If you would like to make a cash offer before auction end, feel free to call or text me at 309-360-4209.

This is a cash only auction, meaning the car and title will be handed over for the winning eBay bid amount in cash from the highest bidder within 7 days of auction end. Winning bidder is required to submit a $500 Paypal deposit within 24 hours of auction end, and complete the transaction within 7 days of auction end.

As a private seller not used to selling cars, I'll do my best to answer any questions you may have as a potential buyer, but I'm sure you'll have more questions not answered within the listing, so feel free to send any questions through eBay so I can post the Q&A on this page for others to see. A good amount of info is listed under "List of Details" below, and here's a little more pertinent info and history on the car that comes to mind...

I have owned the car for about 3 years. I purchased it from a private seller in the suburban Chicago area and drove it home to Peoria, IL. It had recently been painted and blown with the Dyers 671 blower just before my purchase, and most other upgrades and updates were done since my purchase, mainly in the winter of 2014-2015. We have used this car as a weekend cruiser, going to local car shows in and around the Peoria area on weekends, and an occasional cruise around town when the weather is nice. I have never drag raced, hot rodded, or abused the car in any way because it has way too much power for the original 355 Posi-traction rear end that is currently on it, so it has simply been a cruiser and a reason to go to local car shows with my father, who recently sold his classic car. As seen in the pics, this car is not tubbed and the interior has never been altered for racing in any way, and the original interior is still intact. I have contemplated replacing the seats and carpets, but decided against it. The driver's seat is showing a little wear but nothing major, and the passenger seat shows very little wear. I do not know if the T-tops leak or not because this car has never seen rain since I've owned it and the previous owner told me the same thing, but I imagine they would leak at least a little due to the age of the vehicle. I often get asked how much horsepower it has at car shows and while cruising around town, but I have never had it on a dyno and cannot give you an exact horsepower. The three professional estimates I've gotten range between 700-800hp. I have been amazed at how easy and trouble-free this car has been. It always fires right up, runs very smoothly, and constantly gets compliments on how it looks and sounds. It has been stored in our heated garage and started up every few weeks during winters, and has never had any issues starting up in early spring for the first drive of the year. I have always fueled up at the local Shell gas station near my house using the premium pump gas. No major upgrades or updates have been done since the appraisal last year which came in at $29,000 fair market resale value. The appraisal was done by Baker Classic Cars in East Peoria, IL. The vehicle is located in Peoria, IL and I will not ship unless I have cash in hand first.
