Are you looking for that unmolested, low mile survivor 1979 Chevrolet Corvette coupe? This is it... a 60,983 original mile, 1979 Chevrolet Corvette.
This survivor was born on December 15, 1978. It spent much of its life in Texas and is original down to the numbers matching engine and components, ignition shielding, and other stock components. Also note the nice original interior and rust free frame and chassis. Below is a video collection of the car:

This vehicle has been well maintained and appears to be nearly all original aside from a repaint from it's original color of 13 Silver to 1979 Corvette red years ago. The paint is shiny and is an average semi pro paint job done before base coat clear coat. While it in good condition for the age, it is not without imperfections. If you look closely at the photos, there looks to be imperfections in the paint mainly on the rear top behind the t-tops, and the rear drivers quarter. They were difficult to photograph but visible on 3-4 closeup photos. They do not detract from the overall condition and are hard to see from 10 feet away.
The interior is starting to show wear with seats that have small rips, and interior panels that may have been touched up at one point. There is no broken glass and it appears to be complete.
The headlights open and close as they should and all or nearly all of the exterior lights and interior courtesy lights work. The radio works but will need used or new front speakers to function The large gauges light up at night but the small ones are intermittent. All gauges function aside from the clock. The directionals work, but the wipers are intermittent. The seat belts are original to the car.
The owners manual and jack are missing. The spare tire and carrier is present. There is also a small box of spare parts included with the vehicle.
The L48 350 CI engine also appears to be original as well as most or all of the components. It starts and runs well, but it appears to be running a bit rich as evidenced with a bit of black smoke at startup. It runs and idles as it should, but we suggest running some fresh gas through the car and maybe a tune up is in order due to age.
The transmission shifts a it should, and the brakes work well. It drives smooth and straight, and is fairly quiet while going down the road. The brakes look like they have been recently done and it has a brand new master cylinder. We would suggest minimally a front end check, shocks, radiator flush and fill, as well as fuel filter, spark plugs, tune up and probably more before use. The options include power steering, power brakes, A/C, light delay, cruise control, tilt, telescopic, AM/FM Stereo 8 track, deluxe cloth interior, and power windows.
To summarize, it is our opinion that this low mile survivor would be a very nice addition to anyone collection but should be considered a project vehicle. It would make a great project for the Chevy enthusiast, father and son or weekend mechanic.
