I spent nearly 2 yearsto find this car, after looking for a pristine condition FRC in red. I bought it 4 years ago from the previous owner, who owned it since 1999. He lived in Florida, and mostly took it to car shows. The car won a number of trophies, although he would not part with them. I am not into car shows, but the one and only show I entered the car in won an award for one of the best cars in the show. The previous owner said it never saw rain, and I have not driven it in the rain either. The car also comes with the original wheels.

The car has not been raced (I am 68 and simply enjoy driving the car leisurely). I am selling as we bought a second home and now have little time to drive the car. All I can say is the car is absolutely perfect, both in physical and mechanical condition. It is simply a joy to drive. Below is a little history on the Fixed Roof Coupes:

The first new Fixed Roof Coupe model was introduced in 1999. It was originally intended as a lightweight racer. It ended up being only slightly less expensive than the fastback coupe, although it includes more options and was the platform for the Z06 that was introduced in 2001. The FRC includes the Z51 handling package and the 6-speed manual transmission as standard equipment. An option is the Active Handling System (AHS), which this car has. The AHS monitors the car for slides and applies brakes at single wheels to keep the car straight. Competition mode is also included with the AHS option.

Also, I have copied the EBAY advertisment belowfrom the previous owner some 4 years ago, as I believe it helps in learning the history of this car:

"I am the personal owner of this car for the past 12 years (since 1999). I have babied the car from day one and know every detail of it's care. No expense has been spared while caring for this Corvette! "

"The LS1 engine has never been opened up. It is comletely stock. The oil has been changed every 3000 miles or at least once a year, with Mobile 1 Synthetic oil. The transmission fluid has been changed twice since I have owned the car, and the radiator fluid has been flushed and replaced new every 3 years."

"I added BEAR DecelaRotor Cross Drilled Brake Rotors, New Hawk HPS brake pads, New GM Red Z06 Calipers and New Stainless Brake Lines. I installed a GM cat-back exhaust system from a 2004 Z06. I added a TWIN-FLOW K&N Air Intake."

"All 4 shocks, Front and Back Sway Bars and end links have been updated to NEW GM Z06 parts. I installed New A/C Delco Iridium spark plugs and MSD Plug wires. New Goodyear EMT Eagle F-1 Tires were just installed.".....from previous owner.

For the 4 years I have owned this car, it has been driven only in the rural area I live in around Lake Anna, VA. I have only had to change oil, andhave waxed a number of times. Itmostly sits under cover in my garage. This car is in amazing condition!
