2008 Chevrolet Avalanche LT Crew Cab Pickup 4-Door Description

I purchased this AVY out of Savannah, GA in 2008 and have owned it since new. Currently my daily driver, mileage will increase until sold. I purchased a new truck and pick it up this week so time for my baby to go. I have an offer from Carmax for low trade-in value which is a decent offer and I will take it if it does not sell. I have it listed locally also.
Additional features - all door speakers replaced last year with aftermarket speakers. Sounds good with factory head unit. 8 inch Kicker sub and amp which is not currently installedas truck is ready for trade-in but can be included if you want it. Factory stereo has the correct amp controller and wiring installed. Speaker fits under the rear seat. Rear helper airbags installed with the air ports run through the license plate holds. Trailer hitch upgraded to a Curt class 4 with trailer hook up relocated to the rear bumper. Wired for brake controller but not installed.
Maintenance - All up to date. 100k service was completed which included front/rear diff fluids, coolant, Belts, etc. Tranny fluid has been changed 4-5 times in my ownership all through dealers. These were pan drops with fluid and not flushes. Oil changes regularly although I do not have a set schedule. Generally when oil life monitor gets to 20-30% I change it. Front brake pads/rotors last year swapped with AC delco factory brakes. Rear pads are stock and have good life left. 4 new tires last January through discount tire with warranty certificates and lifetime balancing. I will include my receipt which you may/may not be able to use. Technically they are not transferablebut I have never been asked for ID. New battery about 6 months ago. I am not a mechanic, most maintenance was done at the dealer.
Interior - good condition. No odors or smells, lifelong non smoker vehicle. Leather is free of tears or stains. Carpet is free of tears or stains. Roof and liner is good shape although there is a grease stain in the rear passenger area from my bike crankset during a cross country drive. It isnt big but is present. All buttons, gadgets and gizmos work to include lights. The front heater/ac controls have the black paint chipping off a bit but not bad. All front AC/heat vents work normally to include adjustments. The rear AC vents blow but the adjusters are broken which makes adjustments limited, rear heat vents work normally. All factory floor mats included with the driver having a bit more wear than the rest but still serviceable and without holes. Dashboard has 2 cracks which is normal for the year. Comes with a nice dash cover in great shape. No major rattles, squeaks, funny noises while driving although the passenger rear door has a vibration occasionally since I installed the speakers. In=t isnt loud and isnt all the time which is why I havent taken the door card off to check it out. The front plastic cover on the driver side view mirror has a very small plastic vibration and has done it since new. I have had the dealer check it out while under warranty, it was replaced a couple times but never seemed to fix it. Again, not present all the time and not loud. Generally just pushing on it a bit fixes it for a while. All dash lights and gages work normally.
Exterior - Biggest issues is paint. Looks good in the pics and from 10 feet. For 144k miles with 2 kids it looks good. Has typical scratches, rock chips, minor dings but nothing major. Passenger doors and mirror have clear coat coming off which I included a picture in the add. I have had a quote to paint them at about $1200 which isnt bad but I was waiting for it to get worse before I have it done. The passenger side door ding guard is not installed as I took it off years ago when it started peeling up. The driver side is in place and secured but the pain is chipping off. The door guards are a known issue with these trucks. Mine were taken off and repainted a couple times but after warranty expired the dealer stopped messing with them. Looks better with them removed. Known issue with these trucks. Truck bed is in good shape. Factory bed liner (rubber) is in place and looks good. All plastic cladding in good shape. The rear Chevy emblem has a crack in it but it is under the exterior plastic if that makes sense. Really not noticeable unless I tell you about it. Front grill and rock panels with typical 144k rock chips. Windshield is a 144k windshield with small pits and such but otherwise in average condition. It is the original windshield. Has had one rock chip repaired.
Mechanical - No major maintenance issues ever. No major component changes such as engine, transmission, front or rear diff. All original stock running gear in place and not modified. The oil consumption evaluation for the 2007-2009 5.3L engines was completed and the passenger valve cover was upgraded with baffling to meet the newer requirements. I have switched to synthetic oil but I am not brand loyal and use what is on sale. I started changing my own oil after the warranty expired. No leaks of any fluids. No funny noises. Gear is 3.73. The oil dipstick mount hole broke a few years ago and I havent replaced it. The dipstick moves a bit but is secure and doesnt leak. I have a diablo tuner to disable AFM but I ran since the oil consumption testing but currently it is factory tuned.
Truck history - family car. Bought it for my wife in 2008. Used as a family car. For 2 years we had a small travel trailer (rockwood roo 233) which we towed 4-5 times for short trips. I have a car trailer I use a couple times a year. Otherwise just a family car. It has never been a taxi, work truck, construction truck, off-road vehicle, racing, jumping, etc. It has been on dirt roads a few times. I have used the 4wd in the snow. I used the 4wd a couple times a year to exercise the front different and electronic transfer case. Otherwise it has been a road truck and used as a family vehicle.
If you check nada or KBB values - low trade-in is 10-11. Carmax offered me in this range. Retail in average condition is 14-16. I priced it at fair retail to account for paint repair. I will include what receipts I have or can find which should include battery and tires at least. The original build sheet and window sticker is included. Original owners manual is included.
Please text me at 915-422-2698 for any pictures you need or if you want to talk on the phone. I drive it daily. I can arrange for any inspections you might want and encourage them for an objective opinion. I have included what I know, certainly I have missed a few things. Title is clear and in hand. Carfax is clear and no accident history. Wife and I are the only owners of this truck.
Open to offers but I have an offer from Carmax so I do not have a ton of room I am willing to come off my price. Call or text 915-422-2698 to get more pics, talk about the truck, hear it run and such. Thanks.
