2015 Chevrolet Volt Premium Package Description

OVERVIEW:This is a well equipped 2015 Chevrolet Volt with both the Premium and Comfort Packages. These Packages add Leather Seating, Full Screen Navigation System, Premium Bose Stereo, Rear Seat Center Console, Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel and more. This Volt absolutely looks and drives like a new car! The buyer of this Volt will save thousands due to the Salvage Title History. We purchased this Volt at auction from AAA Insurance. We were very surprised to find no serious damage to the car itself, other than light scratches on the front bumper and both front fenders, two front torn tires, and one front bent wheel. We painted (no bodywork required) the front bumper and two fenders, replaced the two front tires and one wheel. That was all! We had the Tire store verify proper alignment when installing and balancing the new tires. We also inspected the front suspension and underneath areas of the car, all was fine. We encourage anyone to a pre-purchase inspection, and as I stated above, I will pay for your pre-purchase inspection if anything significant is found.

MODEL OVERVIEW:

The Chevy Volt is what GM calls a "extended-range electric" vehicle. It carries a bank of lithium-ion batteries underneath as its primary fuel source. The batteries can be charged by plugging them in overnight, and can power the vehicle to a range of around 38 miles. Should the driver require a longer range, an on-board 1.4L 4-cylinder gasoline-powered engine automatically starts up to generate additional energy. A regenerative braking system provides additional charging whenever the vehicle slows. Overall, the Volt's miles per gallon equivalent (MPGe) is estimated at 98.The Volt also features an "EV Hold Mode." The system allows the driver to control when the electric motor is active. In doing so, the driver is able to utilize battery power when it is most effective, while driving in the city, for example. This vehicle comes with a 110V Charging cord and the air compressor tire kit. This Volt can charge by two methods, either the 110V method, which is a regular house plug, and the quicker 220V method, which is similar to a dryer plug, if you wish to charge at home with the quicker 220V option, you will need to have a 220V plug installed and purchase a 220V charging cord. The public stations typically have the 220V method. This car Qualifies for the California HOV/Carpool lane decals, meaning that one person can drive legal in the carpool lanes! The decals only cost an $8.00 application fee.

PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTIONS:If you are in the San Diego area, you can pickup the car (need to show your current Drivers License) and take to any mechanic shop within 10 miles of our office for the inspection. If you are out-of-town, you can arrange a shop to inspect the vehicle, pre-pay over the phone directly with the mechanic shop, and we will deliver the vehicle to that shop, must be within a 10 mile radius of our office, hundreds of mechanic shops are within the 10-mile radius, so finding one should not be a problem.
PURCHASE REQUIREMENTS:A $500.00 deposit must be made via PayPal within 48 hours of purchase. We accept Cash, Personal Check or Cashier's Checks (either must be with a U.S. based bank), or a direct wire transfer to our bank. Personal Checks require a 3-day (business days) holding period before releasing the vehicle. Cashier's Checks require a 4-day (business days) holding period. Wire transfers only require a 24 hour holding period. Holding periods start when the check is deposited to our account. Money Orders are not accepted.
FEES AND TAXES:For California residents, as a licensed dealer, we must collect Sales Tax (rate is based on buyers address local rate), a $65.00 Documentation Fee (not a government fee), and CA-DMV Registration/License Fees (only $15.00 for this vehicle, as the registration is paid up till 04/02/2017). Out-of-State buyers pay the $65.00 Documentation Fee, but may pay Sales Tax and Registration Fees in your State of residence. The vehicle must be transported from our office to over the California State line (and documented by the transporter) to qualify for no CA Sales Tax, otherwise California requires us to collect Sales Tax (8% of sale price plus the doc fee) if you drive the car away from our location. If you choose the drive-away option, you will have an additional $40.00 fee for a one-way trip permit for the car. Most States do not require you to pay sales tax again if you already paid in California, check with your State.
TRANSPORTATION:All shipping/transportation related costs' are the sole responsibility of the buyer, and the buyer must pay the transporter directly. We are happy to assist with the transporting process. We can usually find better prices as a dealer than most individuals, so we are happy to get transportation quotes for you. We are also happy to arrange and meet the transporter on this end of the process. Any transportation related damages to the vehicle are between the buyer and the transporter, for your protection, we only get quotes from registered and insured transporters.
