2007 Chevrolet Corvette Ron Fellows Edition Description

Ron Fellows ALMS GT1 Champion Corvette Z06

There is no substitute for cubic inches, no replacement for displacement. Making its first appearance in the 1967 Corvette, the legendary 427 motor was not seen again until its triumphant return in 2006 in the Z06 And what a return it was! The factory Corvette Racing Team simply used this 427 motor to collect checkered flags. In 2005, the factory Corvette Team began racing the C6.R to coincide with the new sixth generation (C6) Corvette being released to the public. The Corvette C6.R went on to win its class at every race it entered in the 2005 ALMS season. By the end of 2009, Corvette had clinched four consecutive ALMS GT1 team and manufacturers titles (2005–2008) and three Le Mans 24 Hour class victories in the LMGT1 category (2005, 2006, 2009). The last official race for factory GT1 Corvettes was the 2009 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Corvette Racing Team now soldiers on, with smaller-sized motors.

And so the legendary 427 Corvette has disappeared once more. Will another 40 years pass until its return, if ever? Did you miss your chance to purchase a new 427 Corvette in 1967? Will you miss this opportunity to own a one-owner, like-new, 2007 Ron Fellows Limited Edition Z06 427 Corvette?

Marking his championship tenure with Corvette Racing's GT1-class domination in the ALMS, Corvette racing living legend Ron Fellows is celebrated with a specially prepared 2007 Corvette Z06 production model. All 400 made are distinguished by Arctic White paint (including the door handles) that is accented with a racing-style fender stripe and Ron Fellows' autograph.

The front fender graphics are reminiscent of the identifying graphics of the Corvette GT1 race car. They feature double Monterrey Red Metallic stripes with Machine Silver borders and Fellows' autograph in a contrasting Victory Red shade, along with the callouts of the championship years when he was at the wheel. There is also a maple leaf logo motif incorporated with the graphics, a nod to Fellows' Canadian heritage.

This special Corvette Z06 is the first signed special edition in Corvette's 54-year history, and is the first Arctic White Z06 ever offered.

Exterior cues include a full-width racing spoiler and a unique windshield banner. Additional standard equipment includes the well equipped 2LZ package and chrome wheels. Special interior appointments include:

  • Red seats, center console, door panels and instrument panel
  • Red, leather-covered armrest with a Corvette-signature "cross flags" logo that is hand-signed and numbered by Ron Fellows
  • Tech pattern interior trim

An accomplished road racer, Ron Fellows is inextricably woven into the Corvette Racing team's success. He helped test and develop the first Corvette C5-R race car and recorded the team's first win in 2000. Fellows also grabbed the ALMS GTS class championship in 2002 and shared that position in 2003-04. Fellows has been a part of all six consecutive ALMS GT1 manufacturers championships for Chevrolet, and was voted the most popular ALMS driver in 2004-06.

The "Three Deuces" (#222) has been owned since new by a Corvette devotee. No mechanical modifications have been made to the original hand-built by GM 427 motor. The Three Deuces has never been tracked or operated above legal highway speeds. Always garage kept and covered. 3M Paint Protection film was applied to the Three Deuces to protect the finish from stone chips and insect residue. Through the years, the film still performs its job, but has begun to yellow and can be removed if the new owner so desires. Clip-on door and sill guards are also included.

Documents to establish provenance are critical to a collectors car, and the Three Deuces comes with all original paperwork, including Window Sticker, Owner's manual and Manuals wallet. Most importantly the Original GM Ron Fellows Limited Edition Letter of Authenticity verifying provenance, addressed to the original owner, is included. Also included is the "Corvette Quarterly" Magazine with the Ron Fellows Limited Edition article. Media includes 3 Chevrolet DVD's of operating instructions and the Original GM DVD Navigation disk plus sealed GM update navigation disks. The Front License plate bracket is still bagged and included. Rear Parcel net and Rear hatch security screen are included. Clip-on door guards and sill guards are also included.
