I had a lot of fun driving this old truck around when I was a younger man. One day, it quit running, and that is about as technical as I can get in telling you what its running condition is. That was almost 30 years ago, and I parked it thinking that one of these days I was going to fix that old girl up. Now, as is made obvious by this auction, I've decided that it would be more fun to send it to a new home, so here it goes...
It is complete and all there, other than (perhaps) a few minor trim pieces. The doors and hood worked fine last time I checked. The truck was owned by a construction company and not driven a lot, hence the low mileage. The miles are approximate however, as on one of my last outings the guts of the speedometer grabbed and spun the needle in circles, breaking off its pointer. So I disconnected the speedometer, but the truck quit soon after so I don't think it actually has many more miles than what the speedo reads, around 55,000.
The body isn't bad, but has a few wrinkles in the hood and as shown in a couple of pics there is some old Bondo work. The interior is all there except the headliner and soft stuff. The original engine, tranny, axles, etc. are all in the truck.
I think this is a 3/4 ton truck, but it may be a 1-ton. It has some pretty serious leaf springs in the rear end.
The flatbed is actually a really good, heavy duty flatbed, and with some cleaning up it could be used on a newer truck (or, for the adventurous, this one could of course be fixed up). The bed needs new wood.
Right now the truck is in New Meadows / McCall, Idaho (Zip code = 83638) and that's where it can be picked up. Obviously it needs to be winched onto a trailer for transport.
I have the original clean Idaho title.
