1966 Chevrolet Impala Description

BID TO WIN NO RESERVE .....Hello here we have for sale a 1966 impala 396 4 speed car .....car is not an SS as the SS was just a trim package on the impalas those years...you could order any options you wanted to...this was the gentlemans muscle car ....my uncle bought this car from a used car lot in 1970. He drove the car until 1982 or 1983 there are some recepits in glove box from 1978 and from 82 and 83 where he had some front suspension work done tie rod ends ect and car had 37,000 miles on it in 1978 or so the recepit states so the 54 thousand are the original and correct miles for this car even though it may not look like it lol. My uncle parked the car and it Sat outside in Texas heat for all them years until he and my ant moved to Louisiana in 2010 and then it Sat there until my uncle passed away and left car to my ant and I had it shipped up here last month.....now about the car he bought it in 1970 and drove it until 1983 the car has its original paint...or what is left of it due to it being sun baked all those years....while parked at his house someone over the years stole the radiator and the front and back seats out of it.....I did buy a correct bench seat and rear seat out of another impala....other then that the car is unmolested and very complete and original it still has the battery hold down I know that's not a big deal but it's hard to find a 50 year old car that nobody has took stuff off or changed it over years.... it still has the original air cleaner and original quadrajet 4 barrel carb and intake and exhuast maifold and head numbers are 3872702 with date code b116 and numbers matching block motor is not stuck but the water pump is locked up as you can't turn the fan...car still has original Bell housing and original numbers matching Muncie m20 4 speed and shifts into all gears including reverse really easy and smoothly. Car still has original 12 bolt posi rear end not sure of the gearing but I am sure they are what ever gears came in from the factory. I was told that the 14 inch wheels and SS hub caps were already on car when he bought it so he kept them on all these years....car has the factory tach in dash and a factory option clock on the dash.....the only real rust the car has is the front passenger side floor pan it will need replaced and trunk pan has some rust.....the rest of floors and doors and rockers and quater panels are all solid....there are some dents/scraps in passenger side fender and both quaters I tried to take as much pics as I could but eBay only allows you to put so much on...so if you want to bid or want to see anything else please call or txt me at 419-989-7780...I work second shift so call me before 3pm or anytime on weekends.
