1966 C-10, Fleetside, Shortbed, 454ci, 700/R4 - Rat Rod, Hot Rod, Shop Truck
1966 Chevrolet C-10 Description
1966 Chevrolet C-10, Short Bed, Fleet Side, Pick-up. 454 ci, Edelbrock 1407 750 CFM carb with Mechanical Secondaries and electric choke, March pulley serpentine conversion kit (there is a bracket to mount an A/C compressor)
- Purpose built 700/R4 trans with: heavy duty bands/clutches, corvette solenoids, shift kit, intercooler, and torque converter lock-upDrum brakes all the way around. No history on the motor, it was there when I got the truck. The research performed on the block says it's an '84-'87 454, I never rebuilt it because it runs VERY strong and without issue.
I've had it for about 4 years and put less than 15k miles on it as I worked from home most of that time. I've slowly chipped away at improving the truck. Most recently I had the motor balanced along with new motor mounts installed. This truck is 100% reliable but it would need wipers and blinkers to be a daily driver. Body is not straight (see pics), but I didn't build this truck to look pretty. Truck runs great! A must drive to appreciate for sure. Here is a video of it running I posted a while back:https://youtu.be/3VCJY98zmY4
I'm selling this truck because I quit the job I had which funded its evolution. I'm back in school so I don't have the means to continue the work and can't afford to store/insure it indefinitely until I do.
KEY NOTES:
No wipers
No blinkers
Roll pan is too close to tail gate - courtesy of previous owner (the roll pan would need to be trimmed half an inch to get the gate to fully open)
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks
