1975 Chevrolet Other Cosworth Vega Description
This is a really nice low-mileage (35,000) original numbers matching Cosworth Vega. when I got the car - it needed paint, decals, new carpet, tires, weatherstrips, and a few other odds n ends. the engine has been rebuilt and runs great - was tuned properly with a digital A/F meter - and the car runs great for a low compression, 1.2L EFI 4cyl the motor has the CVOA re-timed cam sprockets which really help the bottom end and lets it run a bit cooler. there was no rust on the body at all, one spot on the floor that collected water - and has been patched - car was stripped, epoxy primed, bumped, primed, blocked, and then base/clear. Truthfully, it looks fabulous - but has a few road chips - and after this winter - will probably need an honest 2hours worth of buffing and waxing and then it will look like a million bucks. the tires on the car int he photos are no longer on it - it has NOS Uniroyal Raised White letters in the correct OE size - new correct lugs - btu the wheels have not been restored - they look nice - but could use a detail to be perfect. Interior is really nice - no rips/tears, headliner is perfect, new carpet, new rear carpet, aluminum appliqué on dash has been restored, but there is a crack in the dash pad - am/fm-8track with front/rear speakers work. Heater works, wipers work - but there is no washer pump or rad overflow - i can get them for about 100$ Winshield is new with antenna in the glass as OE. front suspension is new with Energy Suspension parts, and KYB shocks, new brakes and front brake lines - all 4 corners have new pads/shoes etc, new master and prop valve. New starter, new alternator, new belts, (timing, dist, and alt) new alternator, recurved to the CV specs - car has a fully functional MAP, and the CTS and ATS have both been rebuilt/tested and function properly. All hoses under hood are new - so no cracked vacuum lines to chase - rear suspension and shocks are original - as is muffler/tailpipe from trans back... Cat was removed - and its obvious that the exhaust is abotu the only thing underneath the car that will need replacing soon. Car comes with a new clutch/throwout assembly - the ones int he car work great- but occasionally, the throwout moans - so i bought a new assembly to install - just havn't gotten around to it. Engine/trans do not leak - but i drive the car ALOT (up until it started snowing) so it has some road grease under the hood. the aluminum bumpers are nice - could use a polish to be really nice - but the rest of the trim is driver quality - door stainless was mangled a bit before I got the car - and I straightened it as best I could - but they really should be replaced to be superb. the drip rail moldings are long gone - as is the pass side kickout window trim - i have some pieces from a fixed window that are being held on by butyl - it works, but isn't original. Finally, overall this car is excellent - and I've been SUPER nitpicky - the new owner can either have a really sweet looking CV to polish and drive/show - or put a few hundred more into and have a really nicely restored high #2 or low #1 condition car. I have vids of it running that you can message me if interested 3135750642 if you know how to use it!
