1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28 RS Description

BEST OFFERS ARE BEING CONSIDERED AS LONG AS THEY ARE REASONABLE !!
1970 Z-28/RS Camaro. This is a TRUE Z-28/RS (LA) Van Nuys Built Camaro.
  • Original color blue with Black stripes.
  • Every "Z" Option on the vehicle that could be ordered except "SS" of course (Bright accent (Z21), Deluxe Interior (Z87), Z-22, Z-28, and one or two others.)
  • NO Engine or Transmission with vehicle.
  • Rear differential is not original and believe its a 10 bolt.
  • Comes with Kansas title of previous owner and lots of previous owners history records.
  • I bought this off E-bay and drove to TX approximately 10 yrs ago to pick it up and towed it back to MI. Selling exactly the way I bought it.
  • Vehicle does not come with (main things); everything that goes with front clip except fenders, inner fender wells, gas pedal, front windshield, heater controls, door skins, and rear sway bar.
  • Do not have a complete list of interior parts but I do know the front seats were not worth restoring but come with vehicle, door arm rest.
  • This vehicle will need a complete restoration/rebuild.
  • Requires sheet metal in: rear tail panel and hood for sure.
  • Sheet metal repair can be done or replaced in areas; roof, rear window gutter, rear quarter panels (lower), and front quarter panels on drivers (lower).
  • I have tried to list everything I can remember but if you have questions about specific areas then ask.
  • I will not deliver this vehicle, suggest local purchasers or you can arrange pick up.
  • This vehicle needs full restoration but will triple investment when finished.
  • The color and options on this vehicle make it very rare even for a 1970 Camaro Z28.

** All sales are final, no warranty of any kind, and vehicle sold AS IS. **

Proof for Skeptics:

*True RS and SS came with hide-a-way windshield wipers: As seen in photos where wiper transmission connects, there are three fastener holes and one locating pin, whereas non-R/S has only two fastener holes, comes with original R/S wiper transmission and motor.

*True Z-28, much harder to prove, but does have rear sway bar brackets, aluminum spacer under one of the control arm bumpers, badges, has correct holes in floor board for floor mounted gas pedal, brake booster and master cylinder, wood grain IP bezel, 8'000 Rpm Tachometer and accessory gauges, stripes on hood and body, one piece rear spoiler.

Also:

* Z87, if you look at photos of 1970 Camaro Plant Assembly Manual, you will see in the picture where the tip of pencil is pointing to is a picture of the cowl lip seal that was only installed with option Z87 (Deluxe Interior). I was the first to remove fenders and the bolts attaching rubber seal have not been touched in at least 20 years.

* Z21 - Bright Accent Exterior - Chrome trim on hood rear edge, doors upper window edge and rocker molding chrome. Which were all on vehicle.

* Z-28 (special engine 350 4bbl); had performance gas pedal that pivot from floor, special aluminum spacers on jounce upper control arm cushions, heavy duty sway bars for front and rear, spoiler, paint stripes, Wood Grain Interior, 150 MPH speedometer and 7K tachometer, and Z28 emblems - Which were all on vehicle.

* Z22 (Rally Sport/ RS); came with hide-a-way windshield wipers (which is first give-a-way on non-RS original models), RS steering wheel horn cover emblem, split bumperets, split grill, and upper (round) marker lights. Which were all on vehicle.

* I also believe it has the special "Z" option for lighting group; ash tray, glove compartment, IP cluster, and trunk.
