1956 CHEVROLET,CALIFORNIA CAR, V8,3 Spd. Stick,& overdrive
1956 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Two owner CA, car. V8,stick shift & overdrive Description
Up for sale is my 1956 Chevy 210 two door sedan. Original California car built in Los Angeles sold new at city Chevrolet in San Diego CA. There has been two previous owners, both about 30 years each. I have both Ca. titles one from 1958 when it was paid off and second one from 1987 from the second owner signed and not dated. the car has had one repaint in 1980 and interior was done at the same time. The paint is almost 40 years old and showing its age with a few minor nicks and scratches and paint is getting a little thin in places, Great patina. the body is very solid and all original sheet metal. other than a few small door ding type dings the body is straight. all floors, rockers. body mounts, trunk floor etc are excellent condition with no visible rust and no spray can paint or undercoat to hide anything underneath, just factory undercoat.all stainless trim is in good condition but bumpers and grill are showing there age. The car has always been garaged and has just been brought back to life after over 20 years in storage. The motor is the original matching numbers 265 V8 that has been rebuilt with low miles.motor is all stock with the orig. 2 barrel carb. (I do have stock air cleaner that goes with the car). The transmission is the stock 3 speed column shift with factory overdrive. rear end is stock 4.11 gears. it has factory power steering and manual drum brakes. It has had several things replaced to get it back on the road, new tires, all brakes have been inspected and replaced the master cylinder and rubber brake lines, new fuel gauge sending unit and rubber fuel lines. rebuilt generator, new regulator, battery, complete tune up etc.etc. The engine runs fantastic and always starts instantly and no leaks. transmission shifts and sounds like new and clutch is also very good condition. the overdrive works and lets you cruise 65-70 with ease. the interior is clean, the seats and carpet were done in 1980 and still very presentable, door panels are original. all lights including backup lights work, gauges all work as well as the wipers. the heater will need a heater core and take a look at the blower motor it works when its in the mood.I need to say this car has never been apart and in great unmolested condition. I have put a few hundred miles on it and it seems to be very dependable. runs strong, shifts smooth, super tight with no squeaks or rattles. goes down the road straight and stops good. The car will come with a clear California title registered until the end of year, it also has the Black and yellow license plates on it that were issued to it in 1963. if you need any further info call 949-429-5382, I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL ALL ZERO FEEDBACK BIDS.If you have zero feedback you must contact me before bidding. shipping is up to buyer but I will do all I can on my end to make sure its loaded safe and sound.
