This auction is for a 2003 50th anniversary Corvette, triple black convertible with 6 speed manual transmission. I’ve owned the car for 6 years. I purchased this as a project car that never fully got completed. This was a wrecked theft recovery car. It has a rebuilt title with only 45,617 original miles. Because of no power when wrecked, the title states not original mileage but mileage can be verified via Carfax. The car was repainted about 6 months before I purchased it. Stored indoors the entire time I’ve owned it. Upgrades included Z06 wheels, Z06 front grills, Z06 exhaust plate. It is loaded with memory sport seats and heads up display. Front tires are Kumho ASX 245/45/17 and rear are 275/40/18. They have 85% tread left all around.
It does have a few problems which is why it’s priced below market value. I’ve driven it a few hundred miles over the years but not enough to justify keeping. Never have time to work on the few issues so time to sell it.
Known issues are as follows:
PCM code P0452- This indicates a bad fuel tank sending unit as fuel gauge always reads low
TCS codes C1234, C1235 These indicate left and right rear wheel speed sensors. Either has bad connectors and/or bad sensors. C1248- Tripped due to both rear wheel sensors not working.
BCM code B2647 - This indicates a bad ambient light sensor which causes headlights to stay on constantly and DRL never on.
SDM code B1001 - wrong or missing VIN in SDM. LH Airbag was replaced along with SDM but the SDM must be reset by dealer or scan tool.
HVAC code - B0333 Bad outside air temp sensor or bad connector.
The HVAC control has the display out. This is a common problem for all C5 corvettes and happens to most of them.
When shifting into reverse, it will occasionally grind. This could be a bad synchro or bad reverse lockout solenoid. Haven’t tried to fix.
The tail lights do not work. Most likely a bad stoplight switch.
The radio surround trim piece has broken tab which makes it not flush on the interior.
It needs an ashtray cover.
Keyless entry does not work. Could be faulty remote or receiver.
With a little TLC and handy work, this could be a great car to own and drive or resell and make a profit. $500 deposit due with 48 hours of purchasing. The balance is due within 7 days after purchase. Vehicle is located in Dayton, OH. We can be reached at 937-470-1283
