If you like Chevrolet muscle cars, then you will realize that this is a unique jewel.
This car has just been taken out of a fourteen year dry storage slumber. It has always been enthusiast-owned, by Chevy performance car lovers, and is a well-cared-for example of the muscle car era.
The body is totally straight. It is a great relief to look beneath this car and see how impressively clean, strong and solid the steel is: Sills, floors, crevices, valances – all excellent (please see the pictures included).
The car is loaded with factory options:

After bringing the car out of storage we gave it a relaxed sort-of shake out, accumulating 150 miles in one afternoon. We did notice a bit of wheel-balance issue. Otherwise, it ran so well there was no reason to touch anything else. The tires were re-balanced, and much – but, not all - of the vibration went away. Resulting from the years of storage, the tires have developed some flat spotting. The new owner should consider a new set of tires to their liking before heavy usage. The brakes stop sure and straight.
The interior is very well preserved. The dashboard is free of UV damage or cracks. The gauges are clean and clear, and they all work. All the glass is perfect, including the windshield. All the lights work. The seats impressively sport their original upholstery, unfaded, clean looking and with no tears and strong stitching. The headliner has very nice appearance.
There is no evidence of any off-road excursions or accidents. The body is very straight with good panel fit.
As it sits it would be a popular attraction at any cruise-in, stealing the attention from the common, normal muscle-cars. The Chevrolet Monza Spyder is very rare and unique. This is a spectacular collector car that will get more rare and valuable with each passing season.

Important Update
We have had inquiries asking to show some proof that this is an authentic factory Monza Spyder. We have the original build sheet. It is a little hard to read, but then again it is almost 40 years old. We took pictures of the build sheet and the VIN on the car to show it matches. Unfortunately eBay only allows 24 pictures, and since somebody has already placed a bid, I cannot add or change them. I would be happy to send these two pictures to anybody that messages me. Another commenter felt that the car had been repainted because he sees signs of red paint somewhere. The build sheet shows the car as sterling silver and has never been red or repainted to our knowledge. One last note: another person said the stainless around the wheel wells had been taken off. If you google a picture of the original Monza Spyder brochures, you will see they did not come with stainless in that area.
This is truly a nice original authentic vehicle.
Hope this helps!
