Up for sale is my Dad's '98 Chev Corvette Mongoose 425. The car is in excellent condition and has been babied by Him for the last 15 plus years. He's the 2nd owner. The Mongoose upfit was done by a General Motors approved tuner, Auto Tech U.S.A., Fort Myers, Florida. He recently upgraded the the engine with Lingenfelter's GT12 Street Cam, Lingenfelter's LS1 Double Valve Spring Titanium Retainer and Seals, New valves. New water pump, pulleys, New Laser Iridium Spark Plugs & Hydraulic lifters. The addition of the Lingenfelter components works well with the previous upgrades by Mongoose and has improved the performance, the exhaust note hits harder and sounds more aggressive. The car was dynoed after the Mongoose upgrade as follows, 425bhp @ the crank and 367.8bhp @ the rear wheels. The stock car was 345bhp @ the crank and 276bhp @ the rear wheels. The car has not been dynoed since the Lingenfelter upgrade but estimated to be about 500bhp @ the crank. This Vette has been BABIED and well cared for. It has Run Flat tires on all upgraded Fiske 2 piece Billet Wheels. Dang, He even upgraded the factory Bose stereo with a Bazooka Bass Tube, awesome sound. The Vette comes with 2 tops, 1 Glass Top and 1 painted Top.
