2007 Chevrolet Express Description

Up for sale is a Leader brand ambulance van, with 496,200 miles but runs really very well.
The Duramax diesel engine is in great condition. No check engine or other warning lights. It is not leaking any fluids. We checked the engine numbers with the Tech 2 scanner. All injector balance rates are within 1.1mm. All misfire counters are at 0. This LMM diesel is the best and most reliable engine really, as it is from pre-DEF era. The engine has 2 alternators and an elevated idle switch on the dash, which bumps the RPMs up to about 1,500. This is amazing to keep warm in cold weather.

The 4L85e transmission shifts smoothly and the torque converter locks up with zero slippage as it should .
Rear axle is a Dana 70S full-floating, 3.73 gear ratio with G80 Eaton limited slip differential.
There are 3 house batteries mounted behind the diamond plate storage compartment on the left side of the vehicle, and there is room for 4th, for greater autonomy. There's an Emergency Jumap switch on the overhead console, which allows to jump start the truck if the chassis battery goes low.
The body is in impeccable condition, bumpers and body are without even a single dent. We installed new headlights to replace the old hazy ones (included). There's a large storage door on the drivers' side of the van. There is only some paint peeling on the passenger side wall above the ambulance logos.This is a Southern California vehicle since new, and there is NO FRAME OR BODY RUST anywhere!
The ambulance partition is complete, with tons of storage, cabinetry, bench etc. The flood lights all around the vehicle work, the headlight flasher works, but the sirens are off (the amb.co removed the control panel).
Van comes with 3 keys. Tires are dated Oct 2014 and have about 50% life left.
This van can be put back to service as an ambulance. Orwould make a great camper conversion. I have a Class IV trailer hitch laying around that I can install for you if you plan on towing. Can be a great towing van!
