1971 Chevrolet El Camino Description

This is a one owner 71 El camino. It still has the original title and the build sheet. The vin tag and the door tag are all correct numbers. This El camino was disassembled and put in dry storage about 20 years ago. The frame was pulled, cleaned, painted and all new front and rear bushings etc added before putting it back under the car. That is about the point for some reason that progress stopped and its been sitting ever since. He also has a parts car at the time and lots and lots of parts from it are also included in this auction. Theres 2 of most parts and 3 of some others. Look at the pictures real close as they show several boxes of the parts. All the parts in the pics are included. There are 2 rear glasses but no windshield. The body on this car is a very nice one to restore or hot rod. The floors are great as is the bed floor. There is a small place or two where the bed floor joins the inner fenders but nothing major. The so called smugglers box is in great condition, the cover for it is also there and in good condition. Tail gate is nice with only some pitting on the inside lower lip, no holes. Theres one small hole at the lower corner where the rear glass sits about the sixe of a dime. The rear shelf is good and theres a second one included also. The doors are great, you may find a pin hole but really nice for a 71. The rockers are solid also. The bed side on passenger side needs a little work as something has rubbed up against it but it would be a very easy fix. There are new patch panels included that go behind the rear wheels included, there made in the USA so should be food stuff. The hood has slight damage on the center front that would be an easy fix. There is a pic of it, rest of the hood is good and theres no rust on it. One front fender would be useable with a lower parch panel, the other one is pretty rough. The engine and trans are there but I think the engine is stuck. The drive shaft is in it and theres also a 12 bolt rear that has been cleaned and painted when the frame was painted. I think its an open 12 bolt because when one wheel is turned the other one goes in the opposite direction. I was told that's a sign of an open rear but you decide. It is a 12 bolt. This car also had front disc brakes. Was told all interior pieces are there in the boxe, one door panel looks good but the other is torn. Seat comes with it, needs covered but not all broken down. Guys this car has what appears to be a near perfect black dash pad. I see no cracks, tears or nicks in it. It was wrapped up very carefully when stored. That's about all I know to tell you about this car. Its ready to finish the main body and start reassembly. Its a very very solid car for a 1971 and the one owner thing is just icing on the cake. Theres lots and lots of extra parts so im sure theres more than enough to put it back on the road. Look at the pics and ask questions, assume nothing. Check out my feedback guys as its very close to 800 and all positive. You don't get great feedback like that if you lie and cheat people, I tell it like it is. This car can sit here for a while as long as its paid for in full as auction states. Thanks for reading my novel and good luck should you decide to bid. The buy it now price is dirt cheap considering its solid body and all the extra parts you get with it. Priced a dash pad lately? This one is super nice. Thanks
