1951 Chevrolet Other Pickups Description
This original beauty comes from the Pacific Northwest, and has never left the area. The truck has never been out of the family since purchase and with the exception of the tail lights (from a Ford Falcon) is original and unmodified. All of its numbers match.
The mileage, 34,270, is incredibly low, and the body has a wonderful patina without significant rust, however, it has a number of small dents and the driver's side rear fender has been creased (see picture). It has spent the majority of its life garaged, and it shows. This is a rare "barn find"!
The interior has a lot of wear, and will need the bench seat recovered and the inside door panels replaced. A year ago she was drivable, but the electrical system seems to bleed the battery dry and so currently will not start. I have held onto her with the dream of restoring her, but now this fantastic truck can be yours!
This is an iconic 3100 Chevy Pickup and a wonderful project!
On Feb-19-17 at 09:58:43 PST, seller added the following information:I've added photos of the bottoms of the driver's and passenger's doors (no rust), the floor in the cab (smooth, unfitted, but with a wash of red oxidation in the driver's area [rubber mat lifted up]) without and with the battery cover, a view of the right side of the truck (straight, with a small patch of superficial rust on the rear fender, see detail shot), the tailgate, engine, and rear bed. The original wood in the bed is gone. It has a sheet of plywood in there, and then particle board is elevated above it by rebar and screws to protect the plywood.
I'm happy to answer any questions.
