1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Description

Up for auction is a 1970 Chevelle Malibu.
I found this car sitting in a field north of San Antonio, Texas and dragged it back to my place. It was parked in the early 90's after having been a street/strip drag racer for many years.
I was told by the previous owner it was a 454, Muncie 4spd car, but the engine and trans are long gone and I don't know if that was what the car had originally from the factory. Has the cowl induction hood with flapper and actuator, a 12 bolt rear, probably posi given the race history, but I'm not sure. Has a big set of ladder bars still attached. All four tires are rotted, and flat...bring some rollers or a strong ass winch when you come to pick it up. Has 3 original SS wheels and caps; one non chevy wheel. Has sweeper style gauges, not round. No seats or console.
Still has a lot of the race car items on it like fuel cell, Holley regulator, MSD box, line lock, and a clutch/pressure plate and solid motor mounts in trunk. AC and heater box have been removed and covered with a piece of tin. Hurst shifter and boot are not included in this sale.
I pulled the carpet out, and the floor pans are pretty decent with just a few small rust holes in them to be patched, but the trunk pan is pretty far gone and will need to be replaced in my opion. I had to drill out the trunk lock to get the trunk open.
The bumpers look real good from what I can see, and all the glass looks good too.
The pictures make this car look good, but the car sat outside for 20+ years. It is very rusty, has hail damage on body panels and trim, and has bondo cracking in the quarter panels. I have a bodyman friend who says most of the body can be repaired as the metal is the original, thick metal and not thin aftermarket stuff. However, depending on how good of a bodyman you are or one you know, the car might need most if not all new sheetmetal body panels.
I have no keys to the car.
I do have a clear bonded Texas title for the car. VIN on car matches VIN on title.
I can hold the car for up to 30 days as long as you pay in full within 7 days of auctions end by one of the methods listed below in payment terms.
I have a friend who can deliver this car anywhere in the lower 48 states for $500-$1900 depending on your location...msg me for a quote.
