Hello E-BAY
For sale is a 1979 Corvette L82
This is an original matching number car.
The car was purchased by me from the original owner.
At 88,424 miles the engine broke and the owner did not want to fix it. it sat for 31 years in his garage, when I purchased it.
I rebuilt the original 350 engine, replaced the fuel tank with new sender, new stater and battery, replaced all brake, calipers, proportioningvalve, all 4 brake hoses, wheel bearings, clutchpressureplate, throw outbearing, the original flywheel was re-surfaced and balanced with the new 30 over 350.
It uses a Edelbrock 650 carb and sits on a Edelbrock performermanifold, it has a comp thumper series cam and it has a nice sound. new air cleaner also has long tube headers, and new exhaust. The smogequipment was removed and i found most of the components if interested.
The original 4 speed is a muncie super T-10 the rear seal, was replaced. it’s posi with 3.70 gears.
The cooling system components have all been replaced, with an aluminum radiator, with electric fan, all Be Cool relays, the fan comes on at 183 degrees and the fan comes on with the A/C is on, all hoses and belts were also replaced.
This is an original Air Conditioned car, and after the new engine was installed I replaced the A/C hose and installed at the compressor and it was converted to 134A.
The oyster colored interior is all original, carpet, seats, dash board the seats have some small cracks, but there in good shape. the car has spent most of its life indoors. All the gauges work, headlights work, windshield wipers and doors work, all the rubber is good the vacuum hoses for the hide away light have been replaced
The body and paint is original.
The wheels are Corvette I only have 3 of the center caps, the tires are brand new Cooper Cobras 255x60x15
The odometer reads 88,618 miles and I bought the car with 88,424, miles, I believe the mileage to be correct because the interior shows minimal wear, and all the documentation from the original owner, and as you can see theres only 200 miles on the new 355.
The car was something of a time capsule when I found it; an unmolested C3 period correct Corvette with original engine and trans ishard to find.
I guess you could call this car a bit of a survivor.
Its a little hard for me to drive with bad knees
