2001 Chevrolet Metro, Low Miles, No Reserve!
2001 Chevrolet Other LSI Description
This is a really good but ugly car.
It has low miles and still runs great but its not perfect.
We bought the car used for our daughter in 2001. As you can see it has less than 86,000 actual miles in 16 years. The car has been very reliable and starts every time but is does have some cosmetic issues. The interior is very clean. No smoking or pets in this car. The rear wheel wells have started to rust. Please see the pictures. My daughter also had a minor encounter with a deer. We replaced the front left headlight assembly but never worried about the small dent in the hood since it continued to open and close fine. You can see in the pictures that the clear coat is peeling on the hood. The transmission gear selector is a little stiff sometimes. The cable probably should be lubricated or replaced. I priced it at about $100 from the Chevrolet dealer but never replaced it because it still works, its just stiff. When you drive, the transmission shifts perfectly. The car is actually a lot of fun to drive and reminds me of my MG Midget back in the 70's except it is dependable and runs when you need it.
Tires are good, Brakes are good. Exhaust has been replaced. AC needs a charge. Battery is new!
If you need good basic transportation at a low price you should give this car some consideration.
No warranty but this has been a primary work car until it was recently replaced.
