1995 Chevrolet Impala SS Description

Well Preserved Loaded 7th Generation Impala SS in Dark Cherry Metallic
Great Car! Third owner, adult driven, garage kept year round & stored during winter months. Clear title. Clear emissions inspection.
This vehicle has been properly maintained, everything functions properly, nothing is missing & it is in very good condition. It presents itself well & performs as it did when it left the factory.
The window sticker in the photo best describes this cars' options. It maintains much of its originality with no modifications except FlowMaster Mufflers, Viper Security, McGard Wheel Locks & a Locking Gas Cap.
OEM or higher quality replacement parts due to routine maintenance include AC Delco Spark Plugs, Spark Plug Wires, K&N Air Filter Element, Heavy Duty Pro Stop Front & Rear Brake Pads, Die Hard Gold Battery, AC Delco Air Conditioner Compressor, Fuel Pump, Anti Sway Bar End Links. Maintenance performed less than 300 miles ago includes Mobil 1 Synthetic Gear Lube Axle Fluid & Gasket Change, Synthetic Transmission Fluid, Filter & Gasket Change, Mobil 1 Synthetic Engine Oil & Filter Change, Front End Lube, Front Wheel Bearing Lube. The front end was aligned at 55,000 miles.
The body has zero rust or corrosion. The door, hood & trunk jambs are clean. All body gaskets are in very good condition & seal well at highway speed. The exterior paint has minor wear which include some fading on top of the passenger side rear bumper & rear spoiler, see photo. It also has a couple of small paint chips & a very slight ding in the passenger side rear door. Despite these few flaws the car looks beautiful.
The spacious, full power plush gray interior is clean, has no off odors, is in beautiful condition & completely original right down to the stereo & floor mats. This model is a very comfortable driver.
The drivetrain is original, unmodified, healthy, clean & well maintained.
The car sits properly & the suspension. The brakes function properly & are one of the high points of these cars. The undercarriage is extremely clean, the exterior paint on the floor pans is in very nice condition. The tires have significant useful life remaining. This car handles & stops really well for a full size car.
Taken from Hot Rod Magazine 2012: In its basic form, the SS was just a modern take on the original recipe for the Impala SS: a high-performance engine in Chevrolet’s full size car.
The production Impala SS brought a lowered suspension, De Carbon shocks, 12.1-inch disc brakes, and 17-inch aluminum wheels with Z-rated tires to the B-body ladder frame. It differentiated itself with a monotone grille and body molding, a spoiler, and a unique C-pillar window shape, thanks to an appliqué that contained a new iteration of the bounding Impala emblem. The Impala SS was only available in black for 1994; Dark Cherry Metallic and Dark Grey Green were added in 1995.
The heart of the Impala SS is the LT1 V8, which pumped 260 hp and 330 lb-ft of torque through a column-shifted 4L60 transmission. The police-fleet market had asked for more power when the SS concept was being developed, so the LT1 was already on the drawing board. All GM B-body cars would have likely received the LT1 in 1994, regardless of whether the Impala was produced.
