2007 Chevrolet Colorado Description

I have for sale a 2007 Colorado. This was a bare-bones build, and no bolt was left un-turned. The truck started life as a communications company truck in Virginia, I am the second owner. I purchased the truck in October of 2015 with high mileage, the title was clean and the body was in excellent shape, no rust anywhere. It was the perfect truck for this build.
  • The truck was torn done all the way to the frame, the frame was then media blasted and powder coated black. The cab and bed were stripped of everything except for the front windshield, you will not find over spray on this truck anywhere! The cab and bed were painted off the frame at a professional body shop (Baker's Collision, Mansfield OH). Top of the line sherwin-williams paint and clear was used. The color is jetstream blue, a C6 Corvette color. The bed was sprayed by Rhino-Liner of Ontario, OH.
  • The engine is a 6.2 liter all aluminium engine removed from a 2014 GMC Yukon Denali XL (vin# 1GKS2MEFXER106762). The engine only had 14,000 miles when removed. Displacement on demand (DOD), and Variable valve timing were removed, and a new GM LS3 cam was installed. A brand new accessory drive system was installed for a 5.3 V8 Colorado, this included a new a/c pump, new alternator, new power steering pump, and new water pump. We also used New power steering lines, new heater lines, new V8 colorado radiator and condenser, and a new starter.
  • The transmission is out of a 2012 V8 Colorado (vin# 1GCHTDFP9C8119550), it's a 4L60E that received a few upgrades that include a 4L65E 5-pinion carrier, a beast sunshell, and a trans-go shift kit.
  • The wiring is all brand new, headlight to taillight. I used brand new GM wiring harness for a 2012 extended cab 5.3 V8 Colorado. This made the swap a simple plug and play installation, no splicing or anything had to be done.
  • The ECM, TCM, BCM, Onstar, and XM modules were removed from a wrecked 2012 V8 colorado (vin# 1GCJTDFP0C8119387). The steering column, instrument cluster, and factory radio from this same truck was also used. This resulted in zero security, or vin number mis-match issues. This is the Vin number that will appear if you scan the truck with a scanner. The odometer reads 58,000 miles.
  • The interior came out of a 2012 regular cab Colorado with 28,000 miles (sorry I didn't get the vin number off this truck). The truck has power windows, locks, and mirrors. Hummer H3 power and heated leather seats were a direct bolt in, the only modification was that I used new Colorado power seat harnesses in the H3 seats so they they would plug directly into the Colorado cab harness. The center console, and floor shifter are also out of a H3.
  • The suspension is 100% brand new. New Moog upper and lower control arms, 2012 ZQ8 steering knuckles, Timkin hub bearings, and a ZQ8 power steering rack. Belltech street performance shocks front and rear. Belltech 3" lowering leaf springs with a 1" block in the rear, and Belltech 2" drop lowering springs in the front. Belltech sway bars front and rear.
  • Brand new 2012 calipers in the front with EBC pads and rotors, a Brand new GM brake booster, and master cylinder were also installed.
  • The wheels are OEM chrome and off of a 2015 Sierra, the Tires are Nitto NT05's and have plenty of tread left on them.
  • Street Scene roll pan, spoiler, and bumper cover. Anzo LED taillights, Brand new GM headlights and turn signals.
  • Aftermarket components consist of a Volant cold air intake, OBX stainless headers, and a MBRP cat back exhaust. This truck DOES NOT have cats, they will need to be installed if you live in a area that smog tests.
  • Now the items that need addressed, the passenger window motor seems to be weak, and needs replaced, and the abs, and traction control lights are on because it needs to have a 2009 or newer rear end installed. The 2007 rear end didn't have provisions for rear wheel speed sensors. I've priced a 2009 or new rear end and they go for about $300-$400, I just haven't had time to mess with it. Once the newer rear end is installed you can plug the wheel speed sensors in and you'll be good to go.
I've covered everything I can think of, if you have questions please ask. This was a very detail orientated build with no corners cut. The truck is a blast to drive and turns heads everywhere, unfortunately life in unpredictable and I have to let it go.
