1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Description

Up for sale is a custom built 1957 Chevrolet trailer. The guy that originally built this used it to haul around his vintage Excelsior motorcycle with a side car. It was built from what was left of a '57 4 door. The front fenders were mated up with the rear quarters and the overall match is pretty good. The side trim was added and ties the whole thing together pretty well. The front end is complete including the grille, headlights, bumper, trim, etc. The rear has all the trim as well as the bumper. The trunk lid was modified to swing open to the right. The brake lights work and the turn signals on the front light up and act like a marker light. It has 17" Eagle 5 spokes with 235/55R17 tires. It is painted in gray primer. The trailer was built to be be used, so it has some wear. Its not perfect, but is a real head turner. I towed with it for 60 miles at highway speed and it did okay. I probably wouldn't take it across country without checking it out, but it towed well. 2" ball, wiring, and safety chains. ​This was originally built to be pulled behind a lowered '56 Chevrolet sedan. The stance on this one matches that car. That gives you a reference on its ride height. ​The length of the trailer is 152" including the tongue. The body is 102" long and the tongue is 50" long. The inside measures 52" x 69". That is measured across the narrowest part of the sheetmetal opening at the top. There is no title as it is not required for a trailer of this size in Kansas. I had to pick one in the item specifics. ​I can store for a couple of weeks at no charge. If you need more time, it can be discussed before the auction ends. ​Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I can assist with loading. This thing rolls like a dream and will load easily.
