2007 CHEVROLET CHEVY TAHOE PPV 5.3L VORTEC 2WD AUTOMATIC
2007 Chevrolet Tahoe Description
2007 CHEVROLET CHEVY TAHOE PPV 5.3L VORTEC 2WD AUTOMATIC - This listing is for a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe PPV (Police Pursuit Vehicle)
- NON SMOKING OWNED SINCE NEW. I would not have bought this if it had been smoked in and I do not smoke. You can be assured this is NOT A SMOKER.
- Clear and clean Ohio title in my name and can transfer immediately upon payment or trade
- 176K miles and going up (daily driver)
- 5.3L Vortec, 2WD, 4L60E Automatic Transmission
- 17" Chevy aluminum wheels with 4 x Goodyear Wrangler high speed rated tires
- Its an ex Ohio State Highway Patrol Motor Carrier Enforcement mobile scale truck. It was fleet maintained up till the time I bought it with 160K miles. Never had any passengers in the rear as far as I can tell. It does not have a 3rd row seat. Yes it has a rather rough looking parking lot ding in the driver side door. When I looked on ebay a Tahoe/Silverado door is about $700. I was waiting until LMC Truck got the aftermarket door parts in to replace it. It opens and shuts fine and has no air-leaks or noise when going down the road at highway speeds. I didn't turn in the ding on my insurance since my deductible is high, so there will be nothing shown on a carfax.
- This truck is solid. AC blows cold and the heater works great. I would not hesitate to drive it to Florida tomorrow. The steering is nice and tight and it drives straight down the road. The engine runs smooth and has no leaks of any kind. The transmission shifts as it should and locks up in every gear. I have used this to tow a 6x12' cargo trailer occasionally and it handles it well. Its a 2WD and gets rather impressive gas mileage. Many Tahoe's run around 15-17MPG but this Tahoe consistently gets me 20+MPG on mixed driving and often does 24MPG on trips with highway miles. I really don't want to sell this truck, but I could use a 3/4-1 ton pickup for pulling a trailer. If you have a reasonable trade then talk to me. I'd consider a Dodge Cummins 12V 4x4 or a 2000 or later 4x4 Silverado/Sierra with a either a gas Vortec or Duramax. If your trade isn't close to the same value, be prepared to add cash to make the deal. As always, cash is king and the truck is for sale.
- I always use Rotella T 10W-30 oil and Pure One filters in this truck. Aside from oil changes, the only other service I have had to perform was replacing the fuel pump. I bought a complete Fuel Sending Unit from Bosch and replaced it. The reason I replaced the whole sending unit is about a month ago, I was smelling gas at the wheel well after driving it a ways. I looked up on the internet and found posts leading to many causes but the fuel sending unit was common, so I dropped the tank and replaced that and problem was gone. I also replaced the purge valve that is also commonly faulty. If you should buy this truck, it should be good for quite a few years. While I was working on the gas tank, I inspected the brake lines and found they are all like new. I don't know if the OSHP maintenance crew replaced them before selling or not, but I have no worries about brake lines failing in the next 10 years.
- Towing package includes a 2" trailer hitch receiver
- Terms of sale: $500 deposit. Balance due on pick up in certified funds or cash. I am flexible on pick up times and length of storage. I will have the title notorized and ready to pick up with the truck or if you prefer we can accompany each other to the title bureau and transfer the title there.
