2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Description

Ok, if you’re looking for a new body Duramax but don’t want the house payment to go with it – this would be the one for you. I’ve just been through this truck, top to bottom, and it needs nothing. I just got back from a 750 mile trip in it. It got 21mpg at 80mph and rode like a Cadillac. If you’re afraid of miles, please go look at a $50,000 truck, otherwise keep reading. This truck came out of Oklahoma and has ZERO rust. It apparently did nothing but drive because it’s got 202k on it. It’s loaded up with cruise control, power windows, power locks, remote entry, A/C, and more but someone left the carpet option unchecked. This one has the easy clean rubber floor.
The interior is in great shape with barely any wear or tear. The seats, the headliner, the floor, the dash all look great. All of the buttons work, and there are still owners manuals, window sticker, and other paperwork from new still in the glove box. The only light that stays on the dash is the tire pressure monitor, which came on with the wheel and tire change.
The outside of the truck is in great shape too. The panels are straight, there’s no paint or bodywork anywhere, and everything lines up the way it’s supposed to. The tires and wheels are brand new. The wheels are Raceline 20x10’s with a bronze tint to them. If you just glance at them, they look black…but if you look at them in the right light, they are actually bronze, gives it a very nice look and isn’t gawdy. The tires are RBP 33x12.50x20’s and are brand new with less than 1000 miles on them as well. They’re not noisy and they handle great. There’s a few small “pings” in the truck, but nothing you wouldn’t expect for a 200k mile truck, let alone a 40k mile truck. I took pictures of everything you could pick the truck for, but honestly there’s nothing to write home about. It’s as clean and straight as any 2015 truck out there.
Mechanically this truck is about as strong as you’re going to find. It’s the famous LML Duramax coupled to the Allison 6-speed automatic transmission. The truck is fully EGR, DPF, SCR, and DEF deleted. The truck has a 4” turbo back exhaust system with a muffler on it. It’s not obnoxiously loud but definitely has a grumble to it. It’s got a single 60HP EFI Live tow tune in it that pulls hard but isn’t smokey. If you tromp all over it from a stoplight it’ll leave a light haze, but zero cloud. It doesn’t smoke at idle at all. The transmission shifts perfectly, rear end is quiet, brakes stop straight and don’t vibrate – you get the idea, it’s a very nice solid truck. There’s no gooseneck or 5th wheel in it, just the Reese style hitch under the rear bumper. The steering is tight and doesn’t wander or pull either. Very sound truck, drive it anywhere.
This is a great truck, and someone will be proud to own it. You’d never know it from a 40k mile truck. If you blocked out the odometer, you’d think it had 20k miles on it. I have personally put 1000 miles on it, and I’d feel very comfortable driving it anywhere in the country. It needs nothing but a new butt to fill the seat. I’m a no BS kind of guy.
