1942 Chevrolet ½ ton pickup. Not that many 1942's produced due to partial year production due to the war. Truck titled as 1942.
The truck is very straight, solid, and all metal. Truck was disassembled down to the bare frame, painted and rebuilt. The suspension has been lowered and is all new and ready to cruise. Doors, fenders, bed, and hood professionally stripped down to bare metal and primed. There are a few small rust holes (see pictures windshield frame and drivers door), but overall it is in great condition and would not take that much work to get it ready for paint. The worst of the body work is the drivers rear fender lower portion which was welded in the past. Front window cranks open to bring in fresh air.
Currently it has a 350 4bolt main engine, small cam, Edelbrock carb and performer intake, Electronic ignition, electric fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, new aluminum radiator, electric fan, TH350 trans with shift kit, and Lokar double bend shifter. Gas tank was in good shape but to be certain the tank was sealed/coated inside with epoxy.
Frame stripped and painted, new brake and fuel lines, new wiring harness, LED tail lights, parking lights were modified with turn signals without changing the light, 10 bolt nova rear axle, total cost involved dropped rear leaf springs, front axle dropped by “Sids" (currently the best) with all new kingpins and ball joints, Posies front lowering slider springs, front disc brakes, power brake booster with dual master cylinder, proportioning valve added, new rebuilt gauge cluster, and sun tachometer.Mar-K wooden bed with stainless steel strips.New Mar-k tail gate, front bed panel, and rear lower valance/splash pan that are new in the box. Wheels Vintiques wheels/trim rings/caps, new tires, custom driveshaft, and custom dual exhaust that exits inside of rear fenders behind rear tires. I also have some new rubber seals for the windshield and also the fender seals. I do have the stainless trim for the hood as well. I used stainless fasteners for the bed, fenders, running boards etc.
email with questions as there has been a lot of work done to this truck.
Truck runs and drives very well and is reliable.Draws a lot of attention whenever I drive it.

1942 Chevrolet Truck:Some additional information due to questions I am receiving. The solid front axle is still intact however it has been lowered/dropped by Sid’s in Oklahoma.New king pins where installed as well as modern ball joints and tie rods.A Front disc brake kit from Speedway motors was added, with all new bearings and grease seals. The power disc brake booster and dual master cylinder was also from Speedway. The rear leaf springs are reverse eye lowering springs.(The rear can be lowered with blocks if that is your preference, I kind of like the hot rod rake)The rear axle was powder coated and the drum brakes were re-assembled using all new hardware and pads.Battery was re-located on the frame rail in a drop down stainless battery box.The wheels/caps/trim rings were purchased from Summit Racing. The truck was all original when I purchased it from the 216 six cylinder to the torque tube rear axle.I wanted a more reliable truck so I had it all converted over. Lots of potential here, finish the body work and paint it nice or scuff it up and add some patina to make a ratrod. Thank you all for your interest and good luck.
