NO RESERVE AUCTION. Here is a great 1969 Chevy C-10 Short Bed all Texas Truck with only 36K original miles. Without documentation on the miles, here is what I know and was told. The man I got the truck from purchased the truck from the original family about 5 years ago, he is an elder man and he knew the family for years and knew the truck. The lady he got the truck from, it was her fathers truck. This truck was parked in the back of an old diesel repair business shop covered up. The truck was used by the ladies father as a local drive around town truck as needed. The daughter had the truck repainted years back before her dad passed, but never finished anything else on the truck and then a couple years later sold it to the friend. When I aquired the truck, I spoke with the daughter thats maybe in her 50s, and it was hard for her to see the truck move on, but we promised to get the truck back on the road as we did. Since the truck had been sitting for so long, we did a complete professional engine rebuild; our machine shop did a complete pressure test, and a total rebuild with all new parts; cam, pistons, barings, valves and balancing. Everything on the engine; Water Pump, Starter, Edelbrock carburator, thermostat neck, Fuel Pump...everything is all brand new. We did a compelte exhaust replace with duel magnaflow style mufflers and dumped rear tips. When we took apart the original engine, we found everything to be original down the the factory metal gaskets on the heads. Everything looked right for the miles stated. The underbody was left all original, showing just the typical country dirt from 36K miles, you hardly see even surface rust. The interior was originaly a teal green color as we changed over to black with a hounds-tooth seat. New Interior includes; Dash pad, Seat cover, Steering Wheel upgrade, Gauge Cluster cover, carpet kit, Top Quality Door Panelswith Arm rest, Glove Box inside and we replaced the original heater control cluster with an original OEM new one as one of the levers had broke off, and the Heater does work. The Cluster lights and gauges all show to work. The driver window can sometimes be hard to roll up, uses a little help. the radio is non functional. Since the truck received a new interior and with the repaint, even though its an older one, we decided to replaced the front and rear bumpers and bolts, the front grill as the new bumpers didnt look good with the old grill and then replaced all the lenses around the truck to again balance the look. We left the brake pedal pad and gas pedal original to shows its age and miles. This is a factory 115" short Bed Truck, factory exterior color combination, Original Factory 350 V8. This is a NON-Power brake truck and manual steering. The only improvments at this point I would personaly think would be nice is converting to Power front disc brakes. This is everything I have been told, noticed and our shop did to the truck. You can call me (Ron) at 682-333-7433 with any questions. We feel with the story told us, engine details, pedals, and overall condition of the truck, that we beleive the miles are true to 36K original, you be the judge. We kept what we felt needed to stay original, original and replaced what needed to bereplacedto give her a good honest update and feel.
