1970 chevy c10 truck
1970 Chevrolet C-10 Description
This truck has power/tilt steering, power brakes, 350 4bbl v8, and350auto transmission. It is running and driving after many years of being off the road. Gas tank was drained, new fuel lines, fuel pump, radiator hoses, spark plugs, new performance distributor and cap, 4 bbl quadrajet was replaced with a good Edlebroc 650 cfm unit, fresh oil and filter, long tube header, dual exhaust with glass packs were added at some point, Sounds Good! Block is the desirable"010" high nickel content, other engine specifics are unknown, but it starts easily and has good power.Rear wheel cylinders, soft brake line, and master cylinder have also been replaced.
This truck looks to be a c10 with later modelc20 suspension components and other partsadded. The rear axle is a G.M. corporate 14 bolt from a 1973-1987 3/4ton truck, andparts of thefront suspension also appears to be from the same . The engine, trans, radiator, power steering boxand steering column all also appear to befrom a later truck, probably the same donor.Glove box sticker is long gone, I did not build it,so I couldn't tell you what the original specs were for this truck, but if you are looking for numbers matching/all original, obviously, this is not for you!
Truck appears to havebeen in Texas all it's life, Very nice floor pans, both outer rockers have been replaced, one inner, and one cab corner have alsobeen repaired with a metal patch welded in.It has a new front bumper, door handles, new windshield and gasket, door seals, wiper arms and blades, new dash pad, steering wheel, ignition switch with keys, andkick plates. It has later modelpolished aluminum 16 inch wheels with good tires on them. The tail gate is an aftermarket example with no "Chevrolet " stamping in it.There is some rust damage under the battery, but not terrible. Radio hole has been enlarged for standard newer radio. Window do go up/down, but need to be greased and/or new window felts installed.Paint is not show quality by any means, scratches, dents, flaws/imperfections are present. Bed floor also has dents... its a 47 year old truck! The truck has not been driven very far or fast, because there are no plates, no inspection, and no insurance on it and I don't like tickets! but it seems pretty smooth for what little drive time it has had since running again. So expect that it may need additional work/tuning/ tweaking. Turn signals/ brake lights do work, assorted light bulbs need to be changed, gas gauge needs wiring up. I have the bonded Texas title in my name. I bought it as an unfinished project, there were at least 3 other people who signed the original Texas title and never transferred it. So a bonded was easier than straightening out that mess! This truck is being sold as is, no warranty of any kind, you are welcome to ask questions orset up an appointment to come see the truck and I will do my best to accommodate you.You are bidding to own the truck, not the right of first refusal, therefore the $500 deposit is not refundable, s, please only bid what you can and will pay for the truck! thanks and good luck!
