1961 Chevrolet Impala Description

Up for sale is a rare super clean 1961 Chevrolet 2 door sedan. This car needs nothing. Original numbers matching 283 C.I. V8 with Powerglide automatic transmission. This car was assemblied at the Flint MI plant. It has been refinished in the factory paint code (915) Twlight Turquoise and the interior in factory (852) Turquoise vinyl/cloth, both in excellent condition. Under carriage, floor and trunk is solid - she's rust free and practically as clean on the bottom as she is on top. It has rebuilt (factory optioned) power steering, carburetor, brakes and dual master cylinder. Also the front suspension has been completely rebuilt including coil springs. This Impala drives and rides beautifully, and was just taken on a 5 hour road trip (3/25/17) with out issue. Brand new color matched wheels and tires, giving it the old HIPO 409 look. It has some minor scratches and nicks on the hood and fenders, slight surface rust in trunk jamb that could be cleaned up with CLR and a scotchbrite pad, and a few minor dings in the brightwork here and there. This car is a very solid, issue free, dependable driver. All chrome is in excellent condition with no pitting. Many new interior parts in this car.
She has 75k miles and mileage will go up as I plan to drive her often with weather getting nicer here in NC. A few years ago engine was pulled to correct rear main seal leak. Freshened up the motor then and had it painted also at that time.
Heater core is bypassed and would need to be replaced if you want functioning heat. Fresh air inlets work perfectly to allow outside air in the cabin.
