1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Description

1969 Corvette Stingray, 454 Chevy Big Block, casting numbers suggest that the engine was produced from 1978 to 1990. Engine has Edelbrock C454 aluminum intake, Edelbrock fuel pump & Edelbrock Performer TBI E.O D-215-33 heads. Holley Dominator 1050, ( List 4575) carbs that were recently rebuilt, no power valves. MSD ignition with rev limitor. Engine cranks and runs very well, (floats need to be adjusted on carb, will try to get this done before end of auction). Tranny is a Borg Warner Super T10 4 speed that works and shifts with no issues. I have a complete set of Rally wheels that go with the car (2 are shown on front). Rear tires are P295/50/R15 and are on a different set of wheels, (put these on as they are a wider tire for the rear). Front tires are P225/60/R15. I would encourage to replace all tires. Rear leaf springs are higher, as this car was set up for a larger rear tire.

I took this car as trade about a year ago, the Gentleman that i got the car from told me that he had recently had the Vette painted, the car was taken apart, painte, and never completely put back together, (interior). Lots of the interior parts are new, and there are lots of extra, (69 Stingray) parts. Notice in pics, extra steering wheel, gage clusters, many extra misc parts. The young man had a tarp type PVC pole structure that he put the Vette under, he did not stake it down, and according to him, a storm blew the thing over and scratched the front fender and part of the hood, (not too awfully bad).

The underside of this Vette is in great shape, I havent seen any rusty areas. The seats are in great shape, has T-Tops which needs the cushion molding. The doors do not have the side panels. Car has headers and does not have the exhaust pipes which run down under the doors. Fuel tank looks to be a later aftermarket tank, condition seems to be too nice to be original.

The good about the car: It runs & drives, no rust, no body damage other than a few scratches and dings, no mechanical issues in motor other than a tune up (plugs, carb adjustment, oil change). Havent detected any Tranny or brake issues. And als, its a 69 Vette, (First year that Stingray was one word).

The bad about the car: Interior needs to be put back together, (its all there plus extra stuff), needs headlight covers, needs exhaust pipes, needs new tires, needs door panels, NO TITLE ( not needed in Alabama for a car of this age).

This Corvette is available for pickup only in Talladega Alabama, Biil of Sale only.

Please email with any questions or comments about this car and I will respond promptly. If any additional pics are needed, I will get them to you ASAP.

Finally: This car was taken as trade to be a father son project, we drove a couple hundred miles, drove the car up on our trailor and brought it home. Realized that we had a beast, this car is really set up as an old school dragster. I cant really, in good conscience, let a teenager loose in a car like this. This car, in great, good, or fair condition, is for a seasoned, experienced driver.
