This completely stock example with all supporting documentation is still nearly new! The C5 Corvette's Z06 variant made its debut for 2001, reviving an option code last used on the 1963 C2 Sting Ray. The fifth-gen's Z06 used the hardtop-coupe body and was engineered to be the highest-performing factory Corvette ever at the time and are still highly sought after today. The Z06's performance-oriented FE4 suspension provides Krazy-Glue-like grip in the corners, yet offers a more than tolerable ride on most types of road surfaces. The Active Handling helps keep even the most inexperienced driver going in his intended direction, but push the deactivation button, downshift to second, and the 400 lb-ft of torque will allow this long-nose patriot to slip its tail out like Grandma on an icy sidewalk!

As you look through the photos, you'll see the exterior of this Corvette is absolutely stunning thanks to the all original (optional $750.00) Millennium Yellow paint. If you look closer, you'll notice the 50th Anniversary & Z06 badges, functional front and rear brake cooling ducts, Quad tipped Titanium exhaust, Unique staggered Z06 wheels wrapped with the original Goodyear Eagle F1's she left Bowling Green wearing! The body shows with nary a scratch which isn't surprising having been garaged and pampered since new. A clean Car-Fax also assures that this Corvette has never had any damage or unexplained history.

As you open the doors you're greeted with the fresh aroma of the beautiful Onyx black leather interior. The leather "Z06 embroidered" seats are in excellent condition as is the center console, instrument panel, door panels, leather wrapped steering wheel, gearshift knob and all else that would be expected of such a low mileage Vette! Loaded from the factory with all the standard goodies such as HUD, AM/FM/CD Bose sound system to name a few, it's also optioned with the Memory Package and Auto dimming mirrors and as would be expected, all features function as they should.

Under the hood "as most already know" sits the all aluminum 5.7 LS6 V8 engine that churns out an underrated 405hp & 400 lb ft of torque, running through a specially geared 6-speed rear transaxle with a 3:42 posi differential for optimum performance and weight distribution. Able to click off 0 to 60 in just under 4 seconds and run the 1/4 mile into the 11's all while still delivering 18-26 mpg! The shiny Red brake calipers aren't just for looks either as they'll halt this Vette from 60 to 0 in a mere 117 feet. With a turn of the key, the engine fires and runs smoothly, the 6-Speed Transmission shifts flawlessly and the raspy exhaust note that rips out of the titanium quad tipped exhaust is American V-8 all the way!

This Corvette comes complete with the original window sticker, owner's manual, DVD, Auto-Check and more. It's a beautiful performance machine that has been cared for since new the same way you would have done it. So when preserved performance is available, you know you need to check it out.
