1983 Chevy El Camino SS
1983 Chevrolet El Camino SS Description
Honestly I don't know a lot about this car, itcar sat for 4 years, the guy I got it from said its worth a lot but that's what they all say...LOL I have a clean and clear title, the power steering pump is out, the valve cover gaskets are leaking, there are no dents in the body but there are a lot of rock chips that were not taken care of and are starting to rust so it probably needs a new paint job to be really nice, if not a then a good buffing and some touch up's would be in order. It drives smooth, the 305 motor sounds good and tight, the automatic transmission shifts good, brakes are good, steers good, the gauges all work. The drivers door window switch is sticky and only works when it wants to on the drivers window, new switch is $26.00, new power steering pump is $50.00, he took down the plastic headliner to glue new upholstery to it then never did it, but it's all there, it has a few spots where the original paint flaked off,(See Pictures)This is a running driving car that needs some maintenance but would be a great car for someone with a littletime and some elbow grease. It's not a $20,000 show car butis anice lookingdependable driver that could be made into a $20,000 car, I was going to fix it up but bought some property and I don't have the time for it now.
P.S. If you wanted to drive it home, I know a mechanic that could put a new power steering pump on for a fee.
