Up for sale is my original 3 owner 1971 Chevrolet 3 door Suburban ambulance that came from the city of Panhandle, Tx. This is a very cool truck that gets tons of attention and turns heads wherever it goes.....it has a cool patina and has lots of character. The truck is powered by a carbureted late model 350 with a turbo 350 transmission. It also has headers and flowmaster exhaust. This drivetrain has about 20k miles on it. Runs very strong....does not use any oil and it sounds great. The suspension consists of 3" drop spindles in the front and 4" drop springs in the rear. The truck has 15"powdercoated wheelsmith wheels and BFG tires (80% tread life left). All lights work as they should, sirens and red flashing lights are in operational condition as well. This truck runs and drives great. This truck also has factory roof air unit but it is incomplete and not working. It has a 12 bolt rear axle with 3.73 gears.
There are a few things that need to be addressed to make this truck a better ride.
Steering column needs to be replaced. I will include a factory tilt column with the truck. This column works ok but the bearings are loose...I would prefer to replace it for the best driving experience.
It will need a new set of shocks in the near future.
The front transmission seal is leaking. It doesn't pour out but it does have a small leak.
The body does have some hail damage. Text (806) 886-5416 for detailed pictures
Truck has a few rattles as with any46 year old Suburban.
The old truck is far from perfect but it turns heads everywhere it goes. It is a very reliable truck that you can drive anywhere. If you have any questions or concerns contact Randy @ 806 886 5416. I may be able to deliver to the Pate Swap Meet at the Texas Motor Speedway on April 27th-29th. I will only deliver if it is paid for prior to the event. Thanks for looking.
