1983 Chevrolet El Camino Description

The El Camino has an interesting social status that gives it plenty of personality. After all, it's hard not to love a vehicle that's both a comfy cruiser and a versatile pickup. But when it's been given an updated 350 V8, custom paint & body, and an upgraded A/C interior, well then, the desire for this 1983 Chevrolet El Camino SS is heightened further by its true uniqueness. This is all the best parts of the classic Chevy attitude in one build. It starts with the body. The El Camino is one of the most iconic styles in the American vintage landscape. The addition of NASCAR-inspired aerodynamic front-end of the Monte Carlo SS is something we all love to see. And it's rendered in such a shiny color that we'd want to call it "racecar red." And this is far from the only custom touch. Up front the cowl hood is an iconic symbol of Chevy power, and this one has some cool pinstriping that is seen throughout the rest of the body. And this one has a much meaner appearance thanks to the custom ground effects kit and tonneau cover. While the red painted over some of the chrome areas like the grille and bumpers for a much more modern appearance, there is still room for brightwork. It just now highlights some of the more interesting pieces of the El Camino like the 17-inch US Mag alloys.Open the door to more investment into making this one cool and comfortable. The door panels, carpeting, and headliner are all nicely coordinated and have the feeling of custom quality. Plus, the power adjustable driver's bucket seat allows you can dial-in your exact level of comfort. This one comes loaded with power windows, power locks, an AM/FM/CD stereo, and ice-cold R134a air conditioning. While those features are great for both you and your passenger, the best treats are reserved for the driver. You get a grippy Chevrolet sports steering wheel that was borrowed from the Monte Carlo SS. Plus, the matching black with red dash components and full instruments are also from that sporty package.GM offered nothing larger than a 305 cubic-inch V8 for these final generation El Caminos, but that wasn't good enough for this upgraded creation. That's why a later 350ci motor was installed. It looks great in the engine bay with the etched air topper, as well as valve covers and block that are painted in the iconic Chevy orange. When you do get out on the road, the extra displacement really offers a nice upgrade in power. Plus, the dual exhaust has a great enhanced sound. This is a machine truly built for the long haul with great features like cruise control and the four-speed automatic transmission with highway-friendly overdrive. Also, unlike other pickups you got in the '80s, this one has a trailing arm rear suspension for added comfort. This is added to features like front disc brakes, power steering, and the grip of modern performance tires to keep everything quite comfortable over any journey. This El Camino has spent over a year in restoration and had over $30k invested in custom work. The result is a truly unique vehicle offered for far less than it would cost for you to do it yourself. So if you're quick enough, this distinctive value can be all yours. Call today!!!
