2002 Chevrolet Corvette Description

Stories are just that.I purchased this truck thinking several had been made.I also had purchased a 2002 ford Lighting new back then so I know this Sierra ZO6would have out ran it.Its a very nice truck and It was worth what I paid. But I just Bought a new Silverado and this Toy is not going to get driven much now. So time to let a corvette or truck enthusiast enjoy it and drive as it should be.The StoryI was told was a GM dealer built several.I even found two online for sale when I purchasedit.I called the original midwest Dealertheir name Was on the rear Bumper.He rememberedthe truck and told me he sold it twice But it was the only one built.He purchased it from the Builder who was going to build 50 for GM before he developed cancer and the project stopped.That local dealer sold the truck as new and then a year later took it back in trade on a new corvette. I had printed the ads I had found on line and was able to locate the second owner who told me the vin number of this truck and that he had sold it several years ago..He repeated the cancer story and said it was the only one built. So I ran an ad on craigs list and in less than 24 hours the first owner called me confirming it was a prototype and he had met the builder and saw the materialthat was ready to build 50 Trucks.He is not sure if the motors went back to GM or if everythingwas sold as parts.He actuallywas upset because the 20" Boyd Coddington original wheels where not on the truck. (pictures 5-6 with 6 spoke wheels)They had 245/40ZR20 Tires.I may be the 4th or 5th owner. I purchased the truck from a Specialtyconsignment for vehiclesof interest. The last owner did not answer my inquires he might have been the second ad or it may not have been him.
So the Truck is a 2002 GMC Sierra Manufactured in Texas. Modifiedin Hastings Nebraska. Sold as new in LexingtonNebraska ChevroletDealer. Now resides in Portland Oregon with under 31000 miles. It islowered with a Belltechlower kit about 6" in the rear that is what I measure between the bolts on original location and extension kit locations. The lower bracket extends the rear leaf up to drop the FrameI believe the axle is also flipped and sits on top of the leaf springs now. The front is loweredto match I don't know exactly how much.When I purchased the Truck. it had the 5 spoke Rocket racing Wheels 20" X 9".The Tires are Toyo Proxes255/45/R20 front and 265/50/R20 rear.Of coarse it has The Factory Create AluminumZO6 405Hp engine. Pop the hood and it looks like it came from the factory that way.Auto with shift kit. Truck has tow mode switch that works great for switching between light and hard shift.Inside is stock except for the white gauge face. Totalfor the engine/trans, lowering ki, wheels and dash today could be an easy $15000.00. Before you put it all together. A Bone stock Sierra with 30000 miles blue books at $11-$12000. Reserveis $24000.00
