1985 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS Description

A 1985 Chevrolet Monte Carlo like this is truly an interesting vehicle. It is one of the sleekest and sportiest versions of a classic personal coupe. And this one has some unique features like a bolder package and a larger V8 that will always keep it a standout classic. This an interesting year for the Monte Carlo SS. It's the first year that you see the factory-correct Silver was offered. Sure, these look great in black or white, but this is just a particularly nice standout color. It does a great job of highlighting the sporty urethane chin spoiler and unique nose that give the SS its NASCAR-inspired attitude. Plus, the subtle deck lid spoiler reinforces that it's a grown-up hot rod. What also makes us like this one are the custom touches like the unique striping that offers interesting trim and SS text. Plus, the new package also does a great job of drawing attention to the upgraded cowl hood. There's even classic-style Rally wheels with SS spinner center caps.Burgundy fabric was a good choice in the SS. It matches the bold but sophisticated tone of the silver exterior. The seats, carpets, headliner, and door panels are nicely preserved on this original interior. The buckets provide good bolstering, but still give the same all-day comfort you expect in any Monte Carlo. Plus, there's a center console that has been upgraded with wood appearance and modern cup holders. It's a luxury performance car, so you get plenty of comfort features, including power windows, tilt wheel, electric rear defogger, and the original air conditioning has been adapted to modern R134a to keep you cool for years to come. The driver faces a black factory performance steering wheel with bold SS horn ring. In front of that is a sporty full gauge package, including an upgraded tach in the center. That combined with the upgraded auxiliary readouts in the center console will tell you there's something extra special under the hood. These SS cars only received a 305 cubic-inch HO motor from Chevrolet. That's a fine powerplant, but it's no match for the 350ci crate motor that now lives in this engine bay. The larger V8 inhales deeply through a four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with authority as the new ceramic-coated headers add power as they feed the rumble of the dual exhaust. The enhanced V8 does a great job of adding more performance to the sporting image of the Monte Carlo SS, and the suspension ensures the luxury remains, too. Linked to a trusty TH350 three-speed automatic transmission, it's a fantastic highway cruiser. The suspension is tuned to be entertaining but you can still feel this car's luxury coupe origins underneath, so it's great for road trips. It even has power steering and front disc brakes to keep you in complete control.Complete with maintenance records, this is a great classic coupe with added power and A/C comfort. So you know it's going to be gone soon at an affordable price like this. Call today!!!
