Up forsale is my 1967 Chevy Chevelle SS "Day 2" style muscle car. It is a very nice car and turns heads every time I take it out.It has been a fun car for my whole family. The car was taken completely apart and re-done last year.Only has about 500 miles since completion. Please contact me prior to bidding if you have zero or negative feedback.
Here is a link to a video walking around the car and starting it up/running. https://youtu.be/PDK-ptIsx4U
This car was originally equipped with a 327 small block and an automatic trans. We converted the car to a big block 4 speed. The idea under the hood was to build a "sleeper" style engine that looked like a stock 396. The engine is a 69' 402 with 67' Corvette closed chamber fuelie heads. The block has been decked and has 12.5:1 compression. It runsa Comp Cams XE284 cam along with full Comp valve train including springs, roller rockers, push rods, timing set, lifters, etc. Edelbrock aluminum intake (painted orange) and Edelbrock carb. All engine hardware is polished ARP.Entire engine was painted piece by piece and then assembled so there are no painted bolts.Looks super clean.Has Pertronix HEI ignition, coil, and plug wires. It all lookslike old factory original style, but with modern technology/performance.Factory air cleaner has holes drilled all around the bottom perimeter to allow for necessary air flow.Looks stock, but performs great.Has cool Delco battery cover along with all the correct hose clamps.Headers are old Hedman longtubes that were blasted and recoated cast gray. They hook up to 2.5" dual exhaust with Thrush welded mufflers.I had a full exhaust on the car for a while, but removed the rear tailpipe sectionspast the mufflers to make it sound louder.I will include the tailpipes with the sale of the car. They can fit in the trunk for transport. If you want to re-install, they just clamp on, no welding needed. Transmission is a freshly rebuilt Muncie M20 4 speed with a McCleod street/strip clutch.Very driver friendly, not too heavy. Aluminum 11" bellhousing with new Jegs mini starter. It is shifted via a Hurst shifter. It is very cool.It was drilled full of holes and the wires from the Hurst line lock is laced through the holes. The oldschool HurstLine lock works great and is very fun when you feel the need to "warm up" the rear tires. (video of the Line lock in action: https://youtu.be/1cp9ho82uUo)New master cylinder, prop valve, drilled and slotted disc brakes were allinstalled last year as well.Rear axle is a GM 12 bolt with posi and rebuilt drum brakes. Not sure of gear ratio but the car does great around town and is not too high in the RPMs on the highway so I assume it's around a 3.73. Wheels are new Cragar S/S 15x7 front and 15x8 rear. Tires are new BF Goodrich radial T/As. They are blackwalls but do have the raised white letters turned to the inside.
Exterior of the car is very nice. The bodywork and paintis excellent, no wavesin the panels or scratches, swirls. It is factory Nantucket Blue which looks amazing in the sun. I love this color because it's not popular like all the other red, black, or Marina blue Chevelles that you see.All chrome, stainless, trim was replaced when car was painted and looks excellent. All glass is in great shape, with no haziness, or cracks. Windows roll up and down as they should. Entire inside of car has had Dynamat sound deadener installed and really feels/sounds solid. Doors open and shut like new.Every piece of the interior was replaced last year during the restoration. New carpet, floor mats as well. Onlythe seatbelts are original. They are in nice shape for their age and do what they are supposed to do (keep your butt in the seat!) Has cool old Sun Tach mounted to steering column and somegauges under the dash. Stereo and speakers are all from Custom Autosound. Trunk has stock liner and a fullsize spare tire with a nice cover. Bright lights are the cool Day-2 style amber bulbs. I will also include the clear T3 bulbs with the car.
The only issues that I know of aboutthis car has is that the clock in the dash works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't.The radio is currently unplugged because it was draining the battery for some reason.I never really checked it out and am not sure of the issue because I never listened to music in the car. I honestly would rather listen to the big block than anything else! The wiper motor also seems to only work when it wants. There are 2 wires unplugged from the wiper motor that I think were for the squirters. I have never taken this car in the rain, so it hasn't been an issue for me. The odometer reads 32905 but we assume it has 132905. Title reads "exceeds mechanical limits".
All in all, thisis a very fun car to drive and gets a ton of attention at the shows and cruise-ins.Guys always tell me that they love it because it doesn't look like all the otherChevelles out there and looks like how they did back in the day.It is a very nice car that I will probably regret selling. I just have too many other projects and cars currently, and would rather see this car getting driven and enjoyed, instead of sitting in my garage. AS A BONUS, I WILL INCLUDE THE ORIGINAL 327 ENGINE WITH BUY IT NOW (see pic). I have a clear Ohio title in my name. The car will not leavemy garage until all funds have been cleared. $500 deposit is due within 48hrs.Buyer is responsible for any/all shipping or transport. I will sell the car to international buyers and work with your exporter. Car is located about 25 miles north of Cincinnati, Ohio. Please email me with any questions or for more info. Thanks for looking.
