2000 Chevrolet Cavalier LS 4 DR. Description

Here's a 2000 Chevy Cavalier LS 4 door sedan that is a great first car for someone or just plain transportation/work car. A 2 owner car. Never in any accident. Selling due to retirement and just not needing it anymore. Came originally from California but some Ohio winters have taken their toll here and there body wise. Has high mileage- 164,869 miles but always well maintained and as anyone who is familiar with these great 2.2 engines knows can go well over 200,000 miles as long as you keep them up which this one has been, all maintenance items listed have been since last September. Engine still has great compression and loses no oil with no leaks or misses, starts right up and idles smoothly. Transmission is excellent with no issues, no leaks either and shifts as it should. Body in fair condition as far as looks go but I've seen worse, some rocker panel rust and dings, dents, scrapes and much roof and hood delamination and paint peeling but structurally sound, interior worn but comfortable [has that old Chevrolet smell to it, not offensive and not smoked in, just old] and car is mechanically very fine which is it's strong point. Has passed the Ohio E-check and that certificate will passed along to the next owner for use if buyer is from Ohio. Most everything works, cruise control, AC, FM stereo with RDS and CD and Cassette player, horn, remote power side mirrors, windshield wipers and squirters, etc., some things not working are odometer lighting blinks off and on most of the time but will display steady if you push trip odometer button and hold [speedometer and other gauges all work] and passenger side rear power window inoperative [have button taped off]. All 3 other windows work fine as do power locks. No cracks or breaks in the front windshield, actually all glass is good. Really a fun car to drive, have serviced it totally as needed, new rear struts and brake shoes with hardware, motor oil [Pennzoil 5W30] and filter [AC Delco] and transmission fluid [Castrol] and filter changed, new Gates serpentine belt, complete cooling system flush and fill with Prestone anti-freeze and new thermostat and upper radiator hose, front end lubed, power steering pump fluid drained and filled, more. I never use anything cheap or of poor quality for my car. No leaks and does not burn oil, no unusual engine noises. Heater and blower fan work fine but only in one position [defroster and combination vent position]. All lights work [passenger side headlight lense was cracked and repaired but lights work fine], turn signals, brake lights all working good, brakes and exhaust system are good. Front and rear subframes [which have a tendency to rot on these years Cavaliers] are not too bad at all, nothing of concern. Brake lines are all good, one section of the fuel line has been replaced, had a pinhole leak. All lines are heavily undercoated to help withstand winter salt. Has a new alternator, valve cover gasket, AC Delco air filter and fuel filter. AC Delco battery is like new. Original owner's manual is still in the glovebox and donut spare in trunk looks to have never been down, with original jack. Drives on the freeway just fine and gets great gas mileage, over 25mpg on the freeway and over 20mpg city. Tires [Goodyears] have lots of tread left on them but are getting worn. The check engine light [yellow, not the red service engine light] does come on from time to time and comes up an evap system leak [code P0440] but still passed the E-check as I just shut the light off, does not affect the way the car runs or performs. Nothing major wrong and ready to get in and drive everyday, I have kept it in fine working order so I could get in it and drive it anywhere with confidence, even long distance. Has a remote key fob and 3 keys.
