1971 Malibu/ Chevelle Convertible SS Tribute
1971 Chevrolet Malibu SS Tribute Description
1971 Malibu/Chevelle SS Tribute with a 1970 LS6 512 code block rebuilt with less than 3k on motor and transmission. Tons of new parts such as lines, disk brakes in front, new holly carb, New headers last year. Shocks, springs in rear. Door panels, kick panels, wiring harness front and mid. Starter, GM replica hoses. New fenders in front, doors are original and solid. I bought the car several years ago from a friend. I drive it regularly and planned on restoring it eventually. This is not a show car, it's a daily driver. That's why I'm not asking 50k. The fenders have newer paint than the rest. The car was hit in the back 20 plus years ago. The quarter was replaced but not a good job. My plan was to replace quarters and trunk pan. The car has no visible rust except the small spots on the hood. The frame and floors are solid. The tach used to work but stopped. The speedo isn't working. I put a new cable on and haven't messed with it anymore. The power top works but sometimes is a little slow. Needs fluid. The motor is very strong with rectangular port heads and a weiland hi rise I believe off of a 69 427. Right after I bought it I took the motor to a Machine shop and had it checked out and all new gaskets put on. I had the 400 trans rebuilt and a small stahl put in. Raced a friend at the track and it ran a 13.7 @ 103 mph with street tires and pump fuel. Please ask any questions before buying. I will be as honest and forthright as possible. The car is sold AS Is Where Is. I will help any way possible but will not be responsible for shipping. Thanks for looking.
