1971 Chevrolet K/5 Blazer 4x4.

This is a private sale of a really great and really ORIGINAL vintage K/5 Blazer. It is being auctioned UNRESERVED.
THIS IS ALSO A US TRUCK OF US ORIGIN. NO PROBLEMS OR RESTRICTIONS WITH ITS RETURN.
Vehicle history:
Vehicle purchased brand new in 1971 from Rally Chevrolet in Lancaster California (Mojavedesert). It lived there until the owners moved toBeaverton Oregon in the late '80's. Mileage at that time was 48,000. It was sold to it's 2nd owner mid 2000's. Mileage at that time was 91,000. He amassed just shy of 9,000 additional miles. In 2008, it was bought on Ebay, and driven to Alberta Canada. Since then, it has sat... entirely unused.
Provenance:
This Blazer hasquite afile of documentation that belongs to it. It containsrecords detailing it's entire existence.
Condition:
EXTERIOR:
Although this unit has it's share of small dings, dents, and scratches... It has far far less than normal rust. I would attribute it's lack of rustto living most ofit's life in the Mojave Desert, as well as Oregon. Additionally, it was never used since coming to Canada. Most importantly..... THIS UNIT IS ALL ORIGINAL. I cannot understate the importance of buying the most rust free AND most original vintage vehicle you absolutely can.
There is a sizable dent in the passenger quarter panel from a very small utility trailer going over a grape vine in California many years ago. I've pictured anddocumented it. I had recently taken it for an estimate to remove this dent, without disturbing the factory original paint. Estimate was $375. They promised they could removeit to a degree of 90%. Matter of fact, pictures 12 and 13 were taken at the Paintless Dent Removal Clinic the day I took it for estimate.
INTERIOR:
Although requiring a dashpad and a collection of small pieces, the larger parts are BRAND NEW. This includes new front seats, new rear seat, and a whole new molded carpet kit. A couple boxes of small parts ordered from LMC Truck, along with all the new parts that come with it, along with an enjoyable weekend of hobby tinkering, should yield a great accomplishment.
MECHANICAL:
Original 350 engine, Turbo 350 automatic transmission, and New Process 205 transfer case. Nothing rebuilt, nothing leaks, everything runs perfectly. When it came to Alberta, itpassed several lengthy inspections and had anything done that was required for service and repairs. This vehicle runs highway at 75mph all day long without concern, and functions exactly as it should in every regard.
Originality:
ABSOLUTELY ORIGINAL BODY... INCLUDING ORIGINAL PAINT.
Asides from the new interior (still mostly in boxes), only the tires, air cleaner, and a few suspension bits/pieces have been changed. Originally it did not have power steering -- Now it does! It has decent 31" tires. Also upgraded to HEI ignition. Other than that, it has a nice rugged looking 4" lift.Oh, finally... italso has brand new Flowmaster exhaust, and sounds great !!!
Not much else I can think of. Way way back, somebody installed side steps. These created holes in the rockers that I am not too fond of. The hatch doesn't lock. And, there's a hole where a forgotten motorcycle battery placed in the back had leaked.

Great, clean, genuine, authentic& ORIGINAL vintage K/5 Blazer.

Check the pictures. They really make this rig speak for itself.

Limited space, obvious non-usage, and new purchases (lack ofspace) means it has to go.
