Up for auction is a 1970 Chevrolet C20 long bed pickup truck. It’s all stock and is equipped with a 350 engine, TH350 automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes& rear leaf springs.
The truck runs, drives & stops. However, the engine needs some TLC to make itpurr.
Thered paint is all original, except for the tailgate, which appears to have been repainted decades ago. It has some nice patina all around & the door signs add a bit of nostalgia to this old Chevy.
The body is in good shape with only a few dings and dents. The worst being the dent & rusty area in the lower right rear bed area (see photo).
Other rust damage is minimal and is evident in only a few places: a small spot on the right forward floor pan & the rear cab support bracket (see photos). The frame is in great condition with just a light coating of surface rust.
All of the glass is in good condition, with the exception of the windshield, which is cracked.
The interior of the metal bed is in outstanding condition with no dents & only light surface rust. It was shielded from damage by a camper shell; which was installed for most of the truck’s life.
The interior is all stock as is in remarkably good condition. Almost everything still works…even the radio. The only know exception is that the heat gauge doesn’t register.
This 47 year old classic is just plain cool & is sure to put a big smile on anyone who appreciates old survivor trucks,
