1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Belair Description

Here is an opportunity to buy an amazing tri-five Chevy classic ready to drive with the original drive train. It could also be a perfect candidate for a restomod conversion. Accident free car. Very hard to find original convertibles!
Amazing rust and accident free survivor body with one repaint. This car has changed very little since its last appraisal on June 18, 1994. At the time, it was appraised on a thousand point judging system basedon standards used by the Hershey Car Show and this carwas awarded a rating of 968 point car. The basis of this system are in the originality, appearance, paint and interior quality, along structural integrity and overall original condition. There is only one small area to be noted and it is in the spare tire well drain hole near the rubber plugs. It is clearly visible in one of the photos.

VALUE IN COLLECTOR CARS IS ALL ABOUT THE RIGHT COLOR COMBINATION AND ORIGINAL CONDITION. THIS IS A GOOD DRIVING CAR AND IS MEANT TO BE ENJOYED, NOT JUST STORED AWAY. IT DRIVES AND HANDLES LIKE BRAND NEW. THERE IS A FEW MINOR NORMAL WEAR BLEMMISHES ON THE TOP WHICH CAN BE REPAIRED BY A PROFESSIONAL DETAIL SHOP AT VERY LITTLE COST, OTHER WISE THE TOP AND BOOT ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THE POWER GLIDE TRANSMISSION DRIVES OUT AND CHANGES PERFECT, BUT IT HAS A MINOR FLUID LEAK FROM THE REAR SEAL (WHICH WAS COMMON AMONG TRI-FIVES FROM DRY SEALS). SEAL ADDITIVE HAS BEEN ADDED BY TRANS SPECIALIST AND SEEMS TO HAVE SOLVED THE PROBLEM.NEW FRONT AND REAR TRANS SEAL WILL GO WITH THE VEHICLE FOR FUTURE INSTALL IF NEEDED.
THE ONLY TWO THINGS THAT COULD MAKE IT ANY BETTER WOULD BE A/C AND POWER DISC BRAKE CONVERSION. BOTH ARE A MATTER OF TASTE AND CAN BE DONE BY THE NEW OWNER FOR MINIMAL INVESTMENT. THE TWO ADDED FEATURES, IF PERFORMED BY QUALIFIED TECHNICIANS,WOULD FURTHER ENHANCE THE VALUE OF THIS BEAUTIFUL COLLECTOR CAR. THE CAR CAN USE A REPAINT, OR IT JUST BE ENJOYED THE WAY IT IS FOR MANY MORE YEARSTO COME.
