1967 Chevrolet Camaro Description

This is a two Owner, Early 67 built Car. The original owner Ordered it in October 66, as shown in the photos.

I am happy to report that the original manuals, dealer brochures, Warranty Information and PROTECTO-PLATE are still with the car, as well as What appears to be all of the service records, which date back to 1967.

GENERALLY SPEAKING, you would describe the car as a Mostly Original, (one repaint) Complete Running and Driving Car in Good condition mechanically and physically overall. This is not a show car. This is not a Super Sport, z/28 coup anything. It is a Base Model Camaro that someone used as general transportation. It hasn't been cut up, modified, Raced, beaten on, or otherwise abused. It's Still got the 14" steel wheels and caps it was born with, and I have receipts that show that it has worn 4 sets of tires in it's life.

This was almost Certainly originally equipped with a 327 Engine, 2-Speed Powerglide. I haven't decoded the current engine as of yet, but it appears to be a NOM 350 with the original Transmission. The Current engine appears to be a transplant that used the intake, exhaust and accessories of the original 327--- it's my guess they just replaced the block and heads with a 350, and used everything else from the original motor at some point...

The Car Runs and Drives, Starts and Stops and i wouldn't be afraid to drive ANYWHERE coast to coast. I will say that at the time i'm listing it that Im driving it daily, and I've noticed that it has a "miss" in it this week... that is almost certainly a plug wire, or something minor. I hope to have that repaired but the time it's sold... but if i don't get to it, assume it needs a tune up.

There is no engine noise, Car doesn't smoke, Starts up with two pumps of the pedal, and shifts Nicely. Does not run hot, Doesn't use oil, doesn't LEAK oil, which, is nice.

Power Steering, Manual Brakes, Both Work Well.

The air-conditioning is not hooked up, but is complete, and as a result does not work. The compressor and brackets are in the trunk, and assumed non-working.

The Headlights, Taillights, Signals, and all electrical components work as expected. (Horn, Wipers, Gauge Lights, Console Lights, Radio, Heater/Fan, Dome Light, Washer/Wiper, Dimmers, all temperature controls (except AC as mentioned) Vents, ALL of it.. Working. ) All of the wiring is complete, unmolested and in very good condition over all.

MECHANICALLY: Very Solid, Very complete Car.

PHYSICALLY : The car needs some love, but isn't Terrible.

QUARTER PANELS.

Has Typical Rust in both rear wheel lips, which shows signs of being previously repaired. This car does NOT need full quarters. If i were going to paint the car, i would purchase wheel well repair panels for both sides. There are Rust holes in both outer rear wheel wells, at the lowest point about 3" in diameter. will require small patches to be done right. Does not need inner or outer wheel wells.

TRUNK: Is excellent. Requires no metal work that i can see. Shock Towers are SOLID. Trunk is SOLID. rattle can some spatter paint, get a trunk mat, and call it new again. Still has original Spare by the way.

ROOF: Roof itself is good, Someone painted over the stainless drip moldings, and the caulk is letting loose behind them. Needs some attention. Nor rusted rhougth our anything, but honestly, a little unsightly.

WINDSHIELDS: Solid. No apparent Rust - Also, Glass is all good.

FIREWALL: Good

CORE SUPPORT AND attaching areas: Good.

FRAMES: good. I see no evidence of collision in it's life, and no structural Rust.

DOORS Solid overall, showing some signs of rust underneath. Very solid overall... there is a decently bad rust spot in the lower passenger front corner, and is the worst spot on the car. Bubbled our pretty bad there. I wouldn't say it needed an entire door, but I'm guessing when you cut out and repair what's bad it's an apple sizes area to fix. Directly ahead of that in the front lower front fender also need attention. The lower rear leg of the fender mount is rusted away, and needs attention as shown in the photos.

FENDERS (other that that inside passenger portion mentioned) are both solid.

HOOD and entire front end is Solid.

FLOORS, front and rear and rockers are good and solid. I'm sure there are some holes in them SOMEWHERE, and i'm not going to say they're 100% solid... but i will say they don't need replaced at all. Worst case, i'd say there's a couple dime sized holes. Nothing major here, FOR SURE.

all of the stainless is good, the chrome is driver quality and shows age, but not rusted.

PAINT: It's going to need painted- I think i saw a receipt from it being painted in 1985, and it shows its age. Dull, Driver quality paint with nicks, and chips. The worst spot is on the passenger side where it was clearly rubbed against something unforgiving. Kind of is, what it is, but it's all the same color. Body guys would say "it's a 10 footer”.

INTERIOR:

Very Very nice Red interior. Original Carpet, Seats... There is a tiny tear in the center bottom bun of rear seat (see pic) and some wear on the drivers "welting" where you get in an out. Under the Drivers seat back (unseen until you fold seat forward" is worn. that's the worst of it. Dash pad isn't really cracked, but needs re-dyed. Console is in Very good shape, but does have a mystery button drilled in in. no idea why, or what. maybe a power antenna at some point. hard to tell. Other than that, Door panels and well, JUST LOOK AT IT. IT's original, and it's nice.

As i Said, Basically, this is an unmolested car, that has never been taken apart. Drive it daily until you're ready to restore it and enjoy it as it is. Ive taken some time to really try to detail all of the best and worst spots on the car are, and what i think it would take to repair them. Ive personally restored 7 First-Gen Camaros from the ground up, and owned 14 of them. I know what i'm looking at, I know what it takes. If i didn't just purchase a 69 Camaro that i has my time taken up, this car would be put aside for a very easy, pleasant restoration, in that metal work is really minimized, and affordable.

It's my goal to give the buyer as much information as possible in this listing, but if you have any questions, please email before the auction closes and i'll do my best to answer anything that you feel i've missed.

This car isn't hiding anything. Ive taken photos of all of the absolute worst areas. I have a car on my lift currently and can't get detailed photos of undercarriage, but represent it accurately. Any Buyers are more than welcome to inspect the car.

I accept non-refundable Paypal Deposits, and payments, though Cash or Cashiers Check are acceptable. I am happy to help with shipping if you need. Again, Car Does Run and Drive, and i wouldn't be afraid to fly to ohio from arizona and drive it back. Clean Ohio title. .

Car is for sale locally, and I Reserve the right to end the auction if a local buyer purchases.

Good Luck Happy Bidding.
