93 chevy silverado short stepside
1993 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 1500 silverado Description
I have a 93 stepside that belonged to my father. It is a reg cab short stepside 2wd with a 350/700r4 setup. the truck has many new parts. It was his run to town truck and was driven multiple times daily. He was 70 and very picky about his vehicles. Ok let's see if I can remember what all he did to it in the two years he owned. New radiator, water pump, hoses, battery, new tires, went through front end and anything that needed attention got it. Steering box, ball joints, pitman arm, idler arm, and couple tie rod ends if I remember right. Truck drives good. Lowered the rear 2" with shackles so it sits level. The interior is in decent shape. no rips in seat and carpet looks ok. door panels are good windows and locks work as they should. new hinge pins and bushings in door hinges. dash was replaced. transmission has been serviced. He told me that the truck would lose about a quart of oil about every 2700 miles so thats when he changed it. The battery is an Interstate and all parts bought were the good stuff(good as you can get nowadays anyway). Truck has not been molested and cut up and is basically as it came. As he only owned for about 2 years I dont know what has been done to engine and trans in the past but is completely stock except for dual exhaust. the dash shows 206k but dont know if thats accurate but honestly anyone who knows these trucks knows it doesnt matter(its either a good truck or not). Now for the bad. The paint on this truck is bad. typical early 90's chevy white, clearcoat peeled off and it needs paint. The truck is not rusty, rear end is quiet, no smoke, clank or bangs form anything thats not supposed to. Decent cd player installed and works great. Would be a great first truck or slap on a cowl hood and a roll pan on back paint it and have a sweet run around! My father passed and we dont need the truck so time to go. Thanks for reading and happy looking! Mike
