Up for auction is my 1998 Chevrolet Blazer LT 4WD. This has been my daily driver for the past 1 ½ years. I have driven this over 20,000 miles within that time period. It is the LT version so it has all of the upgraded creature comforts such as:
Climate Control, Leather Seats, Power Lumbar Seats, Heated Seats, AM/FM/CD/Cassette Radio, Privacy Curtain for rear, Tinted Windows, Aftermarket Alarm System + more. So why am I selling? I need room in the garage as I have accumulated too many vehicles. The Blazer currently has 158,000+ miles as I'm still driving it. It is a 20 year old vehicle so it's not perfect and I will try to explain everything I know about the vehicle so there are no surprises to the successful bidder.
The Good: Climate control - installed new blend door actuator last year. 4WD works awesome. Brand New Goodyear tires with less than 2,000 miles on them. Cruise control works. Engine & Transmission run well, shift well, and no check engine lights. Currently NYS inspected until Jan 2018. New rear brake pads and calipers May 2017. New front brake pads Aug 2016. New oil filter re-locator lines May 2016. New engine coil April 2017. New Lower radiator hose Sept 2016. New rear pinion seal and pumpkin cover March 2016. Blazer runs, drives, shifts, steers, stops, and starts as it should. Rust - this is not a NY vehicle. I bought it out of state and brought it here. Look at the pics - the body on this Blazer is very nice! It does have some paint chips and blems from being 20 years old.
The Bad: The hood latch is broken - I use pliers to pull on the cable to open it. If you get too far from a radio broadcast antenna, the radio doesn't pick up any stations. (Maybe the antenna wire is loose?) The radio is missing some knobs as well. The driver's seat is ripped. I have some seat covers I'll throw in with it. The gas gauge bounces between empty and full. Sending unit - bad ground? I fill it up between 200 - 250 miles on the odometer and have never had a problem. It drips some oil from the oil filter re-locator lines. (They all do - ask anyone with one of these, they'll tell you the same) I actually paid the dealer $320 to replace the oil lines going from the filter to the engine oil cooler then the other lines started leaking. It is just a drip, but if you park in a garage you will see the spots on your floor. Transmission drips as well - pretty sure it's coming from the dipstick tube. (Common for this vehicle as well) I don't use the alarm system, the FOB for it is in the ashtray and the alarm is set to maintenance mode. (This means it is turned off) I can't figure it out and there are no instructions for it. I can tell you that it works if you want it to. The FOB may need new batteries by now, not sure. The front air dam (below the bumper) has a crack in it.
If you're looking for a good, dependable, 4WD vehicle, this may be for you. Perfect winter car, kids beginner car, or work vehicle. I have tried to list everything I know about this vehicle including the good and the bad. Remember - it's a 20 year old vehicle - it's not going to be perfect.
Winning bidder will pay a $250 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit VIA PAYPAL within 24 hrs of auction end. Balance of winning bid to be paid for within 7 days of auction end. I accept CA$H in person or PAYPAL for the remainder. NO CHECKS - NO EXCEPTIONS!
There is no delivery of this vehicle, you must pick it up from my house in Wyoming, NY. I suggest bringing a trailer as there is no license plates on the vehicle.
Please look at my feedback, (100%) Ask any questions, Want a picture of something specific? Ask, I'll take it and send it to you. As with all of my auctions, this item is sold AS-IS with NO RESERVE. Where else can you buy a NYS inspected vehicle for such a low price?
