1972 was the only year in which air conditioning was offered in combination with the Corvette’s solid-lifter LT1 350/255 HP engine option, which was still only available with an M21 close ratio 4-speed. One of the last chrome bumper Corvettes produced andthe last factory air LT1 built, this 1972 LT1 coupe is one of just 240 built with that combination, in this case backed by a 3.55 Positraction rear end. Produced on July 25, 1972 and sold new by Keystone Motors in Chicago, IL, it was formerly part of the famed Bob McDorman Collection. In addition to its appealing color pairing of Mille Miglia Red with a Saddle leather interior, it is also optioned with power steering and brakes, power windows, tinted glass, tilt/telescopic steering column, AM/FM radio and deluxe wheel covers.
