1996 Astro AWD conversion van
running until recently. needs some attention to correct misfire. i havent pulled the codes but i suspect a vacuum leak and/or fuel injection spider issue possibly. not sure. listing for sale (at a discount/cheap) before i go in and do the repairs. last summer i replaced intake manifold gasket and fuel pressure regulator. this van needs:
a front differential repair and new front tires. drives now but no AWD until front diff is replaced. needs heat actuator (blower motor is good though). passenger side window switch...brake light bulbs assembly acting up a little. overall the body and frame is str8 and solid (no accidents/ dents or scratches) with a little rust around wheel well and couple small spots here and there.
This is an awesome buy for the ASTRO VAN enthusiast and a great restoration project. There are legions of astroheads out there that are doing really amazing things with these vans. If i had my way i would be upgrading and outfitting this van with a lift kit/ off-road stuff and super-sick interior with all the amenities of an RV in preparation to go "off the grid" or maybe an URBAN "A-Team" set up.
